Good to see my felow Rangers fans getting on so famously. Whilst i do not wish to become embroiled in this matter, i feel that i have to make one point: Diarmid O'Hara is Editor of Reporting Scotland.This is BBC Scotlands's flagship programme, from their news and sport department, by far the largest dept at BBC Scotland . Staff from this department will work on various other programmes which come under that heading, including of the course the " Whyte" programmes. I am not trying to prove anything other than, Diarmid O'Hara is a lot more powerful within the beeb than his title suggests. As to the previous comments about BBC HQ not being happy. Nonsense ! They do and have always regarded our squabbles as small town, parochial triva. The only people who would take any action would be the senior management in Glasgow and they are usually too busy arselicking the Mandarins in London to be bothered.

The question which remains unanswered is: Who decides which incidents go before the Compliance Officer. Are we to believe that Lunny studies every league game or is it more likely that intensive media coverage forces his hand. In the case of Aluko was it maybe the over the top coverage afforded by our pals at the Brendan Broadcasting Corporation. If it was the coverage afforded by the BBC can we honestly expect transparency and balance when similar incidents occur (which they surely will) given the corporations recent history of Rangers bashing ?
