Wallace and Tav's interview top notch!
-
I cannot see Aird featuring much this year, unless Tavernier gets injured. For that reason I would like him to go out on loan for 6 months experience at right back.
-
Few clubs can offer what we can. Theres not a team like the Glasgow Rangers.
If money was that important he's still be a stockbroker. ffs his bonus would have been more than his current salary
Just wait till he gets a taste of skelping the tarriers and a sniff off a packed Ibrox on a champions league night.
I cannot wait for this!

Having a manager who can bring in gems like him is fantastic. Fuck the fish bowl Scottish signings who are way over priced.
-
Tavernier was outstanding. Credit also must go to Halliday and Holt as their work rate was unbelievable.
-
Whoever is playing in our centre forward position at the time. Scoring penalties tends to build confidence to score in open play. Yes, they may miss, but the odds are stacked heavily in the takers favour.
-
It is easy for any keeper to punt the ball and put the blame of possession on the player who fails to it. I am pleased we play this sweeper keeper way, and our keeper is good at it!
-
I everybody saying we still need a ball winner, I give you Andy Halliday loves a tackle involved in everything and can bang in a goal as well.
I was going to post a long winded spiel on how Halliday could be our ball winner. Not needed now!

He is fucking outstanding at playing our system. The vast majority of the game he is a sweeper keeper and may I add his distribution was brilliant. yes he is a professional keeper but ask our historical best, such as Goram, Klose etc., to play this system and they just might shite it! He too is new and he may not be as good a shot stopper as many keepers we are used to but he has displayed, in the two recent games, he is talented and I like how he comes off of his line for balls and takes the pressure off his defence. Give the guy a chance as the system we play makes his job that little bit harder.

To be fair, Waghorn's shot was going wide. The Hibs goalkeeper just fucked it up royally.
Was it? who cares! My point is it will no doubt lead to more goals if he hits a shot across goal. This was Albertz's trade mark and led to him, or a team mate tap in, scoring!
-
Where he scored his second goal from today, lee Wallace finds himself in that position plenty of times during a game. lee pisses me off when he just aimlessly hit it across the box and the ball gets cleared. around the 20 min mark I was screaming for lee to do what waggy did yet funnily enough he passed it square and Hibs cleared. yes I know that Holt near scored with a Wallace cut back but I wish lee could just shoot across goal more often to give strikers a tap in.

That was, after we scored our equaliser, simply magnificent viewing. In the second half the formation we have adopted certainly displayed the type of football we have been expecting! Brilliant seeing Halliday scoring and enjoying himself near the end. Brilliant! Absolute brilliant!

Speed over 20-40 metres isn't a necessity for a footballer (especially in his position) if he is a decent passer of a ball. Speed over 5-10 metres is vital, so if he can sharpen that up he will be fine.
I'm sure our new background staff will sort his speed out.
May not be a necessity but when he went forward to Hibs box and lost it, during the play offs, Allan showed him to be a snail as he sped away. Never seen this so apparent from a first team rangers player in a good while.
-
Good all round player with exceptional talent but, and a big but, last season his speed over 20-40 metres was poor. Over the first 5 metres he is ok and a reason as to why he is playing with us. Should expect to stay with us, this season and in perhaps the foreseeable future, he needs to sort this speed issue out.
-
This is quite encouraging. In fact exciting! Signing players outwith our, and the Scottish media's, norm. Magic!

I just watched this! It is a seriously good watch. watching his best friend die at the age of 13, as he raced him running home- and for his best friend to get run over- is hard to take. Don't expect much from his time with us because it lasts approx. 1-2 mins. More English orientated, but I had expected that.
It has been the best thing I have seen in a long time, just disappointed more time wasn't spent on his time with us.
-
My answers, like anyone cares!, is that we will win 3-1 and win on penalties! But only if we go for it and not play McCulloch in place of McGregor!
-
I'm fed up looking at so many divided threads so lets solve it here!
After tonight's 1-3 defeat are we making it in to the top flight or not? And to make it interesting, add one reason as to why yes or no!
Just one remember!
-
His midfield partners hid in defence!
Shiels and Murdoch sit just in front of the defence and play the Hollywood passes, and never lose possession! However, the real game is won with inventiveness up front!
At least he (Law) tries this, but it is fucking brutally hard when the other (of the four midfielders) team mate is so easily marked out the game as he only has one leg!
-
Our Midfield is Key! Tonight it was so poor, so brittle, and missing! Did Hibs attacking help us attack (did it feck)?
-
The players don't have the attitude to claw this back
By attitude do you mean bottle, skill or professionalism? And by players, do you mean who the manager choses or our complete pool?
If it is our complete pool then I totally disagree, we have them! It is just who and where we adopt the respective players!
-
As far as I can remember, this scenario is very unfamiliar to us, we were very much, in Europe, a team (certainly under Walter) that has had to defend!
The entire midfield was missing today until Walsh and Ferguson came on, shame on you! McCall on the touch line had more bottle (and talent).
The key to a good attack is a solid midfield, and I am afraid tonight we were shite!
And also Nicky Clarke couldn't (and I mean this) get a game for Kilwinning Rangers!
-
If we play a back three Then those 3 have to be rapid, Certainly not McCulloch! If he plays then we have to defend deep. No way!

If I was Andy Halliday, and everything he has done for the team (on the park) I would be annoyed to be labelled similar to someone who hasn't yet played a first team game.
