I'm sure there are a few good stories. Missing our flight was just my favourite.
After the match we hit the bars and ended up in a similar state to Madrid, on arriving back at the hotel we spent 30mins trying to get into the bed and breakfast..
.. eventually we had to admit defeat and phone the owner, he walks round the corner saying '' no no no my friends what are you doing? the hotel is accross the street''

Due to too much cerveza the night before in Madrid, We missed our valencia flight on tuesday morning
roll on 4 and a half hour bus journey. when i say missed our flight, we woke up when our plane had already arrived in valencia.Good times!

You don't need to show travel insurance to get on a flight. For instance if you are insured through your bank account, like me, there is no paper work. When booking a flight you check that you have or will have insurance but no proof is needed.

10,000 fans to a ECL section game. I'd be amazed, if there were are as many as that, going to this game. I don't think it will be even half of that amount. Even 3,000 would be a good support.
We have almost 2,700 official travel club. I would be very surprised if there were only 300 extra Bears in Valencia, infact, that's a crazily low expectation. A realistic figure is 5,000 in my opinion but you just have to look at Villareal, Barca and a few other trips to Spain to see that we can easily break the 10,000 mark in travelling numbers.
By the sheer amount of different routes the support are taking to get to Valencia i am expecting a very healthy support in the mestalla.
Our other 2 lads tickets from spainticketbureau arrived at the hotel in Valencia yesterday so everyone is looking forward to that first cold beer at liverpool airport tomorrow.

It certainly seems like it is shaping up to be an almighty travelling support, My own estimate would be 7,000. With all the security and hardline approach being talked about by Rangers and Valencia. In the face of this i have no doubts there will be Bears all over the stadium. Follow Follow

I see Rangers have instructed Valencia not to sell tickets to Rangers fans.
Will this work? How will they know they are Rangers fans, other than if they give their home address for ticket delivery?
Apparently if you want tickets online you have to give your Spanish ID Card number before they will accept the transaction.
Will Valencia stick to this, or do they have no option but to stick to it under UEFA rules or something?
My mate was going to buy his ticket at the stadium on the day of the game, after calling them and being told this would be possible, but now they are saying tickets will not be sold on the day of the game.
Will you need to show a Spanish ID Card to buy a ticket at the stadium on the day as well?

For fans of most other clubs, this would not be a problem, turn up on the day of the match and buy a ticket for a neutral area of the ground, not home end, spanish clubs rely on tourism and have mixed areas of the ground, the mestalla has a few. Unfortunately for us, our reputation is not great especially in spain and with our own club asking for our own fans to be refused tickets this may become the norm.
No doubt our fans will still be scattered over the mestalla, 2 of our group have tickets bought from spainticketbureau.com, 61euro.

Only way to get Rangers section tickets is to join the travel club
The additional 2 tickets we bought were Category 3 (cheap seats) which is the top tier of the mestalla and where the Rangers fans are allocated. Rangers section is behind one of the goals. Category 3 tickets will be on the same level but could be pitch side our behind the other goal.

Hi Lads. Thought i would start a fresh thread for this.
I know some of you are heading over ticketless, we are a group of 4, 2 had tickets through the travel club and 2 were getting tickets in Valencia. We bought 2 tickets today from www.spainticketbureau.com for 61euro each, 10euro extra and they are delivered direct to your hotel. I phoned a girl on the 24hour english helpline just to clear up some things and she couldnt have been more helpfull.
I'd recommend going down this route.
Bring on the Spaniards by the score!

We are booked on a coach from Benidorm for 20 Euros each.As for ticket situation the same warnings were given for Seville and when we turned up at stadium the ticket office were selling tickets to bears .Hopefully the same thing happens again.Three of us going and one with a ticket.Check with their ticket office first rather than get ripped off by touts or so called Gers fans who live in Spain.

They cannot sell to any foreigners? Valencia CF and the city survive on tourism, Valencia CF matches at the mestalla are one of the main attractions. You really think they are going to reject thousands of pounds of business on the basis you are not spanish, If anything that could be illegal?
Too much scare mongering going on surrounding this trip. It will be no different from Sevilla.

just got a text from a mate in aberdeen,sayin he has just bought 4 tickets for the valencia end at face value,this i the content of the text SERVICAIXA,this website is on the official valencia website on info on how to buy tickets for the man.utd game,change language to english,click the sport tab under"area club"then click valencia c.f,click CHAMPIONS LEAGUE and the date of the match,then follow the steps as how many seats u want to buy then continue to the checkout.u can pick up the tickets at terminals all over valencia aslong as u take the card u bought them with.hope this helps

Always do it.
It's hard to put into words but for me, personally, it's a way of saying thanks to our famous stadium.
each time i do it i remember the bears from the Ibrox disaster.
