Is the Journo Ewing 'I hate Rangers' Graeme?
Thought that c*unt wrote for the Telegraph?
-
Definetly want dave king involved, if that means PM too dosent bother me.
-
If they went with two leagues of 20, with the biggest 40 clubs in Europe (Stadium, local fanbase, worldwide appeal, attendance, etc), we'd be in there no bother.

1 Ayr Ticket For Sale, Rangers End.
Edit:

Having been to Hamburgs ground, the whole CF should be rail seating. Anyone whos a ST holder in there should be given first choice if they want to retain their place, or they can get the choice of a decent seat elsewhere.
-
Would be worthwhile finances wise if at home.
If we offered any extra tickets to those willing to buy season tickets, we'd sell out of season tickets!

Any VB admin want to PM me?
I signed up for the forum a while back but still cant post.

McMurdo's a fud, he'll probably be buzzing we're discussing him again.
-
Officially Airdrie United were founded in 1965 according to the SFL website.
Sadly since the merger the SPFL have caved in and claim they were formed in 2002.
-
not the worst, we paid off all footbaloing debts, the initial investor group paid the wages of the players before liquidation, the 5.5million paid for the club might well be paid off for all we know, edminston house and albion car park bought outright, big payoffs to boca and goian, and for all we know stadium upgrades and other expenses were paid off
until the accounts come out we know heehaw
Wait, so you're saying Green and Co didn't actually put in the £5.5m to buy the club?
Genuine question?
-
Mather has done well in the small amount of time he has been CEO.
Walter wants him to stay, that's good enough for me.
-
Season ticket money is only about £7 million. Not sure if you are aware but we do have running costs so I'm sure the accounts will confirm
Running costs of £30m + in a season? in the fourth tier?
If that's the case it just confirms to me that the board needs a massive overhaul.
-
I've read all the interviews, and I've read all the speculation ~ the fact remains we do not know, nor will we until the figures are published.
Then, and only then can we say whether its being run right or not, is that not logical?
I'm guessing your one of the ones that trusted Whyte well into administration due to there being no audited accounts?
-
A fact?
Yes confirmed by the companies financial director.
If you believe that a club in Scotland's third/fourth tier should be spending £30m+ in 12 months then you are deluded.
-
Yup, speculation just as I thought. I think I'll wait to see the accounts before I make up my mind, feel free to do what you please of course.
No it is a fact that the £22m IPO money and all of last seasons ST money (£10m) has been spent.
The definition of 'pissing away money' for a club in the fourth/third tier of Scottish football.
-
And where does McColl fit into that mate - he's promoting himself as the spokesman/leader. So, would blin & pm be his runners. Not as easy as it seems it is mate.
You said you wished Walter would come out in a definite direction. He has.
He is for all the changes proposed by the McColl camp, except the possible retention of Mather.
-
Are you basing that on the detailed accounts yet to be published or speculation?
Where has the £22m IPO money gone then, if we only have £10m ST money in the bank?
Obviously we can only speculate on what it was spent on until the AGM, but a sizeable chunk of it was almost certainly 'pissed away'.
-
Who do you support - both sides are an unknown........ Like being involved in an election, but no knowledge of the candidates strategies. Wished to f*** either Walter would come out with a definite direction or a fan buyout similar to b.dortmund.
Walter supports the removal of the board and the appointment of Biln and P. Murray.
Although he wants a compromise to allow Mather to stay.
-
Completely agree. More fans would buy into the scheme if they knew it meant we had the majority control. Control to elect a fit and proper board, and to remove anyone should this sort of carry on we are witnessing was to ever happen again. The knowledge that we would, every year, be injecting a huge sum of cash into the club(which i believe should be used for youth development/scouting).
Hamburg have a membership of 70,000, now if this scheme was opened up to all bears around the globe, who's to say we could not match that?
I set out a basic business model and ideas for how it could work on another thread and potential incomes that could be generated, but even if our membership subscription was set at £15 a month(£180 per year, and i dont find that too large), at 70,000 members thats just over £12.5m! And that would be yearly.
As I said above as soon as you start talking about making money it becomes unviable.
None of the german teams make a profit out of their membership schemes.
The members control the club and pay around 50-60 euros a year for the privilage (say £45 on average at todays exchange rates) They also get decent doscounts at the club shop, along with a free matchday programme at every home game and discounted match tickets.
-
Been looking at some membership schemes and what they would bring. Burnley was the first one I've properly checked out and it's £4.49 per month. Reckoning with 50,000 fans signing up it would generate over £2.5m per year. An excellent way of generating cash but would we get 50,000 signing up? It all depends on what's being offered I suppose.
No chance we would get 50,000 signing up if all you got was:
Priority home match tickets
£5 off home match tickets
Membership card
Half price tour
Select discounts at megastore
To get big numbers of members the membership scheme needs full control of the club. I.e. 50%+ of the shares.
Where membership schemes are sucessful in european football, they are not there to make money. As soon as you start talking about making money it isnt going to be a sucess.
-
A membership scheme wont work well unless its of the German model.
The english model used by man united and liverpool proves this, both massive clubs with shit membership numbers due to the membership not owning a shareholding.

What paper has reported the most accurately on our club?
During all the hysteria last year I think every newspaper used the term new club without actually establishing the facts, most have since been put in their place by various SFA, SPL, SFL, SPFL, UEFA, ECA, ASA rulings that have confirmed the fact that the club only changed hands.
It seems more like individuals like Spiers and Roddy Forsyth, among others, that spout this nonsense these days. Vast minority, though it does make it easy to identify the Rangers haters.
