I know the Fiorentina one.

If? We have only spent about £1m.
I know...there should be money available, I agree.

Just one reservation on bringing in another top notch striker...Super would play the new guy, and Jelavic wouldn't be dropped, so would Lafferty get punted back out to the left wing again?...or just dropped?

If we have a few bob left in the kitty, a quality striker should be brought in. We're covered everywhere else in the team.
Splashing out on Jelavic worked out, (although it was a gamble that nearly blew up in our faces), and that's what Ally should do again.

no
That's not a very good debating point now, is it?

Can't see it to be honest.
Why not?
It's not like his brain cells will turn to mush because he can't see a wwhite line on his left side when he is running.

Just about to sign some lad named Coates from Uruguay for £8m though.
His dad Ralph was a very good player in the 70s.

We'll be begging Wylde to sign a new deal in a few years.

would rather see whittaker up there. He cant defend, is two footed and can score goals. Fuck knows why he's a RB
Sandy Jardine in reverse? Sounds good to me.

Play him up front alongside Jela against the Tims. Worked well for Lovenkrands, playing through the middle against that mob.
Pete was another one with nothing more than raw pace who worked well up there. Good shout.

Weiss got played upfront on his own for 10 minutes of one game.
But Wylde? Not for me.
Wee Bud had a million more tricks than the likes of Wylde (or Weiss), so I'm not using it as a direct comparison, but his pace meant he was a great strike partner when played at inside left.
I know I'm digging into the annals of history with that one, but we have had precedents of speedsters being a good option as a second spearhead.

Thank you for the welcome MisterC.

It's been mooted that we might have a problem at centre forward if either Jelavic or Lafferty gets injured or suspended (if another striker isn't signed).
I think that young Wylde might be able to step in there no problem at a pinch, to partner either of our 2 best strikers.
As a precedent, we've seen Johansson go from winger with not much else but pace to decent striker, and it's entirely possible that Gregg could do the same if called on.
I can see this working if we needed to do it.

Injuries and suspensions usually determine when our rotation takes place. I don't know if I like the idea of rotating players otherwise.
Dropping players when they don't perform is what I prefer.
