  1. I was 14. And I thought Rangers, much like myself at the time, were invincible. As crazy as it sounds now, I was still raging that Huistra had been sold, it seemed, to make way for one Brian Laudrup. History may just prove that Walter knew what he was doing with that one. Still, I was gutted at the time.

  2. My oldest is 7 and goes to coaching one night a week in Ayr. The two Ayr Utd boys Moffat and Donald take the training and the kids love it. Obviously I'm well aware of thier backgrounds, Moffat especially, but I cant fault how they are with the kids. My boy loves his sport but, thankfully, football appears to be his choice right now and I'd love to get him more involved. I played under 18's then amateur with Barlieth but I started football quite late so I'm clueless with regard to boys football. He already plays rugby for Ayr on Sundays so standing in a freshly furrowed field on a wild November morning wont be a problem.

  3. I work with the referee in question and to be honest you couldny meet a nicer guy, i gave him dogs abuse on the Monday at work and asked him whit the fuck he was thinking about, he said he felt Gazza undermined his authority, he really did regret it but felt under pressure as he was being watched by his supervisor from the SFA, he was back at Ibrox as a linesman but it was about two years later. unfortunatley for him it sort of halted his career as a ref although he is still involved as a supervisor.

I thought that. Dougie really is a good guy. I mind meeting him and Oor Shug out in Prestwick one night. I knew Dougie obviously but Dallas was sound as well.

Saw his boy Russ the night at 5's !

  4. Dougie Smith it was that booked him for picking up the yellow card and "booking" him for dropping it. I worked in the engineering hangar where Dougie was a storeman and the stick he got for it was unreal. Dunno if he got many more top flight games after it actually. Strange cos his son's a bear too.
