  1. That is one way of simplifying the choice. If that being the case then naming it after Davie Cooper should be a formality because more fans are familiar with that name than that of Moses McNeil.

I personally would have preferred it named to encompass the club as a whole as opposed to one individual,no matter how brilliant Cooper was...but then again, I guess a lot of us old guys who saw legends like Woodburn,Young, Baxter,Shearer,Caldow,Waddell, Hubbard,Henderson,Millar,McMillan,Greig,Caldow,Simpson etc might think that way.

No matter what it ends up being called, I think I'll still call it Auchenhowie as i have done since its inception. :pipe:

As I said Davie Cooper was a hero to me so I voted that way, but I see your point. We have had a lot of greats at the club and for some it's hard to single out one person who embodies everything good about our club.

To be honest I don't mind what they call it as long as it keeps up the good training facilities, rehabilitation of injured players and churns out stars of the future. To me that's the most important thing, keep Rangers at the top where we belong.

I've been given a tour of the place and it was awesome, everything from the pitches to the canteen were amazing. I've even got some pictures of me standing on the Rangers crest taken from the balcony, like the ones they usually take of new signings. What a day, kudos to my two pals who organised that if they are reading this thread.

  2. Fuck sake this was 7 pages when I put my iPad down. Busy bastards.

Anyway I've just been woken up by a piper outside Annie millers. Must be something to do with the first home game.

Can I point out in case nobody else has noticed, Rangers have the best looking fans in the world. There are some really hot bearettes on here.

I for one applaud them.

  3. I think the problem with giving ST holders the choice of names is that we will end up woth a plethora of names being bandied about, for example, Davie Cooper Academy, Jim Baxter football school of excellence, Founding Fathers football complex etc.....and you can bet that no matter what name was chosen, some fucker would whinge about it, so perhaps Rangers Football Academy would be a safer bet....Or Auchenhowie.

As long as it it isn't left as Murray Park, I think the majority of fans would be happy....obviously some would rather it remain as is but they are in the vast minority.

When the season ticket forms came out there was a separate sheet with two choices. It was either Moses McNeil or davie cooper so the choices are limited.

I voted for super cooper as he was my hero growing up.

  4. I've heard of that place mate and always heard good things about it.

What tattoos you gotten from there? Do you know if his waiting list is that long?

I've got a lot of oriental work, samurai, dragons, Buddha and Demon masks, that sort of thing. At the moment I'm getting a geisha tattoo, then a couple of muay Thai fighters.

I'd recommend Steven to anyone, in fact Ive already sent dozens of people there and everyone has been happy.

If you go in and speak to him about what you want then he will tell you how long it will take and the earliest he can do it.

  5. I want the RFC badge also but fuck knows who to trust to do it

Mate go to irezumi in partick. Steven wrigley. I have a full sleeve, my back tattoo and he is doing another sleeve for me now. Worth the money because the guy is an amazing artist. Remember it's there for life so don't let just any fucker with a needle do it.

  6. told by C Green to supporters at the ticket office , Orange numbers , orange cuffs, orange colar , orange stripes

Like my football tops like my women. Matching collars and cuffs. Prefer it not to be orange on the women though.

  7. We had to stop in an industrial estate in Aberdeen for a pish and some fuckpig came out of a warehouse and started shouting at us for pissing against a bush. Don't know what his problem was, apart from the fact we had Rangers tops on. Felt like slapping the cunt. I had been desperate for a piss for about ten minutes and then because of this sheep shagger staring at me and shouting I took stage fright and it crawled back up inside me. Was another 10 minutes before I got a piss. :anguish:

  8. Tore Andre Flo - oh random, I thought you said rancid.

Flo scored on his debut in a 5–1 thrashing of Rangers' arch rival Celtic, and hit 18 goals in 30 SPL games. His second season at Rangers was considered his best in Scotland, scoring 22 goals in 42 games, including the opening goal in the 2002 League Cup final win over Ayr United.

What you don't think this is a good record for a striker?

  9. If anything I reckon papac was under rated. I thought the guy was a great servant for Rangers and the only PLG signing worthy of playing in light blue. A true gent as well, can't remember him ever shooting his mouth off or saying anything bad. Everything a Rangers player should be. There are plenty in the last few years could have learned a lot from his example. Good luck sasa whatever you do in life.

  10. Aye there was nothing like the guy behind you drinking 4-5 cans of lager then taking an empty can pissing in it then emptying it doon the back of yer pant leg. If I had not been 12 I would have clocked some of those pissed bears in the late 60's, and of course I had my first can of lager on the terracing at Ibrox, (as a 14 yr old) :beer1::beer1:

I hope your first can of lager wasn't warm and funny tasting.

  11. Just got back this afternoon from a month in Thailand and I found some Rangers memorabilia in bars across there. So I got to thinking the guys on here must have some holiday photos where they found a Rangers bar abroad or maybe met a Rangers player somewhere. Euro trips don't count though because everyone goes for the same reason, to see Rangers playing (don't want pics of a hundred bears in a pub and passing it off as a Rangers bar ;-)

So if you have some photos I'd love to see them, and I'm sure maybe get some of the bears on here remembering places they have been to.
