  1. Im not sure if this is new info or not, and gers1690 im sure you are right it wouldnt happen but there are lots of things we have been told that would/wouldn't happen so I dont know what to believe anymore... Also, I dont know too much about Di stefano, does he talk this bollocks a lot then? WATP Stevemac
  2. Hey bears, been afk here for a while, but spotted this (not too sure how legit it is because its from Di Stefano, that ex Dundee wanker) but anyhoo. http://www.studiolegaleinternazionale.com/files/Giovanni%20Di%20Stefano%20FA08072012.pdf thats a letter he sent as he investigated whether or not rangers were elegible to play in England or not. This is the Oldco, not the new "sevco" company by the way. A quick summary of the letter: basically saying that oldco rangers were instated into the english league in like 1885 or something, played in the fa cup, fa stated "they are the only scotch team to be honoured" therefore because theres no evidence to suggest we were expelled from the english league, we have the right to play there. He then goes on to say if thats the case, they have the right to play in the EPL and its subdivisions, then there will be a much larger generated interest to purchase the soon to be liquidated oldco, including far eastern investors, who are happy to swallow the 100+ million HMRC debt if it comes to it. interesting read, I must say. wouldn't see it happening though. plus, you can bet your boots that nothing will be done about it until the oldco is liquidated - then the spl, sfa and epl wont have to do anything about it because newco wouldnt have that right to play in english divisions. Theres other evidence to support this - evidence of fixtures between gers and other teams in that FA cup. We played Lincoln City, Aston Villa (who beat us I think) but more importantly, a small Lancashire club called Church FC. http://www.rangerspedia.org/index.php/1886/87 thats the link to all of our fixtures that season, including our FA cup games. http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/f123/churchs-magnificent-fa-cup-run-5509.html that on the other hand is unbiased proof that we played in the cup. It is an article from 2004 from some accrington forum with proof that we played this team called church fc who had a brief run in the fa cup, and played us at hampden, we won 2-1. Basically, if there is no evidence to support us being expelled from the english tier, then the oldco has the right to play there so investors will boom in. obviously our assets have been sold to sevco but I could see that going 1 of 2 ways, either new investors buy oldco (probably far easterners as mentioned) who would then buy the assets to newco and move to the english divisions, which would kill scottish football which is why i cannot see it happening sadly, or 2, some investors buy the oldco, clear the debt and sell off the history rights to the newco. (that would be my preferred idea but sadly both of these are unlikely, just a scenario I thought up). Worth a think at least? What do yous think bears? WATP Stevemac
  3. agreed. I think what my dad is getting at is correct. He is saying that what the SFA are doing enables CW the right to sue the SFA, take them to the EU court, and if he wins, they will lose all credibility, therefore meaning they wont have much choice but to disband.
  4. Ok all, first real post on here, but I was just talking to my dad, who is more clued up on the law than I am. Basically, the SFA imposing the ban on Craig Whyte is illegal. it is called restrictive trading. And by imposing a transfer ban based on him "bringing the club into disrepute" that is also irrelevant. If they felt that he was unfit to buy us, they should have stopped the deal. They do not have the right to impose the transfer ban, because it was not in the contract agreed between the SFA and Rangers (the rules basically) and even I know that changes to contracts have to be mutually agreed. Therefore they cannot ban us for the transfers, and they cannot ban Craig whyte for running a spl club. at the end of the day, as much as you hate him, its his money (well its a loan but you know where im going with this) so he can do as he pleases with it. putting a business into admin is completely legal so. I think this needs to be taken further. food for thought. also, on a side note, I made a complaint to the sfa about the tims setting a fire off in the rangers stand in that youth cup final the other week. Think I heard back? nope, i did not. nothing. Stevemac
