  1. He never specified the big cups. I think most of us would agree that he should be winning the Ramsdens in the same way that the tims should be coasting the SPL.

Any manager spending about forty times more than his opponents must be aware that there is some level of expectation beyond the bare minimum ffs. Brown was talking mince saying that he just has to coast the league, an amateur team coach could do that.

  2. I vote again for McCall. Some folk are delsuional and seem to think we can get a foreign coach to play expansive football in, when we are in the third tier of a football backwater. It's not happening.

My worry is that McCall might be put off by some loyalty to ally, or else this Warnock talk is because Green will get in a yes man.

  3. I think Billy Davies would jump at the chance.

Are you off yer nut? He has a great chance of making the EPL this season. I doubt he'd even join the tarriers if he was one of them given that, let alone us playing Brechin and Ayr United!

Stuart McCall all the way for me, consistent season after season and can beat the tims. IMO he's holding out for it.

  4. McCall would be my pick all day long, regardless of his allegiances he has worked wonders on a shoestring and regularly beats the times.

I think some people are actually being put off by the fact that he's a 'rangers man' which is bizarre. Doesn't reflect on his abilities whatsoever.

  5. We need a reality check.

Too many fans unwilling to admit what a dire situiation we are in cos of the modern internet feuds with tims.

We need a clear out of the current coaching staff and people with a sound financial awareness and our best interests a heart to come in at the business side.

Then build again to regain what is rightfully ours.

  6. I think I read on here at some point, that he was involved in setting up new methods of media, designed to earn income for Rangers. If I remember correctly, I think more programs for RTV, a radio phone in, were two of the ideas mooted. If they are being implemented, then I can see why he may seem quiet.

However if they aren't now, due to the recent changes on the board, then he is a waste of a wage.

I'd also hope the book he was writing is still in the offing.

What are his qualifications to do this? I always thought of him as a sports hack of the old school. The Daily Rhebel wasn't exactly a factory of red hot innovation during his tenure.

  7. A wee part of me still wonders if some drunk bear might have called him a spazzy in Manchester 2008 and he's been waiting for revenge ever since. Find it hard to believe a guy with his background could have supported us as a kid in the 90s. I like his guts and humour though, if it is for real he could have the determination to be a very useful addition.

  8. I saw them as a teen in Wembley Arena back in the freezing late December of 95, good gig with some moments that stuck in the mind (mainly ecstatic crowd reaction to I am the Resurrection). Have a ticket sorted for me but actually wavering: looks like it's gonna be raining and I really don't like mudfests at all. I also it's one of those were people are getting carried away with the occasion rather than the potential gig itself. If I do go I'm not heading along until early evening just before Primal Scream come on, Jake Bugg and The View are pish.

  9. He'd get them relegated, seriously. People will only see how well Moyes has done when he leaves, one of the lowest net spenders year on year.

Everton are a big club with a crap infrastructure and no means of raising funds required for a top half team unless they have a good boss.
