  1. Darrell King on the radio tonight seems pretty convinced that all these new bidders, consortiums etc are a load of shite and that D&P have been part of Whyte's plan all along. He said he wouldn't be surprised if HMRC asked for them to be removed.

According to him Paul Clarke agreed a figure of £9m plus with Brian Kennedy on the Friday last week, then did a U turn on it a couple of days later. King stated categorically that D&P then drove to Kennedy's house in Manchester and pleaded with him to go the Newco route, and that if he did it was his. Kennedy told them where to go and the rest is history.

This fuckin Abbot & Costello double act had better watch if it comes out that they are fucking us over (and it will become very clear over the next couple of days).

  2. a bully probably. or perhaps a traitor.

GS, I felt the same way at the time, but he has admitted his mistakes and I, for one, forgive him. The man that never made a mistake never made very much. If the people he bullied at the time like Graham Roberts (who acted with such dignity at the time) have been able to forgive him then I can also. Each to their own though. (tu)

I would love him back now as he has such fire in his belly when he talks about Rangers these days and that has got to rub off.

  3. Mark McGovern of the Daily Record writes an article insinuiting that Bill Miller is some sort of right wing xenophobe because he suppports George Bush, and then the next day tries to drive on to his property to ask for an interview.

Lucky he didn't get both barrells of a shotgun up his ass at the same time.

Bill Miller's people will be monitoring our press closely to see how he is being received by fans etc. He intimated before if he wasn't well received he could back off, so his people will know what's being written in the rags.

    Reap what you sow McGovern!

  4. Another tax dodger with a fucking castle.

Last man to put any of his own cash into our Club. £20 million to be precise. Who else has done that you are aware of? He's the man waiting in the wings still willing to put his money where his mouth is, but not to creditors - to the team. He's the one director Whyte couldn't dislodge. EVERY successful business man is a tax dodger. Just because their accountant says "leave it to me" doesn't give then a waiver.

  5. I love this chant, imagine 40k+ singing this when we play them

I think the sound of the chant is brilliant but unfortunately you will never get 40K singing those lyrics for various reasons. As I said earlier in the thread I have no problem with the song for the 'young team' singing it but personally as one 'slightly' older I would feel a wee bit daft standing singing it with my son or daughter standing next to me.

That's why I tried to suggest alternative lyrics in the thread (went down like a lead balloon :anguish: )in the hope that we could get the chant going with lyrics that everbody would be happy with.

If you didn't get my suggestion here you go...............(only joking Casey!).

  6. Need to get over this obsession with the mhanks and support our own club. Terrible, childish chant.

Potential alternative lyrics are posted on the thread i.e.

What about different lyrics that the whole stadium could join in with to really get it going (it would look superb)? Something a bit more relevant to what is happening just now?

WE ARE RANGERS (or NO SURRENDER)

    WE DONT WALK

AWAY AWAY (instead of oway oway or whatever the noise is just now)

Try it in your head (I think it would work, but hey I'm biased )

    Any thoughts?

  7. I've always thought that tune was pretty classy when you hear thousands of Italian fans singing it, so it's been good to hear it being introduced by the Bears. The only thing I would say is that it will be hard to get it spreading round the ground with those words. I think the words are fine for the 'young team' but you will struggle to get older guys etc singing it.

  8. Under TUPE you have the right to walk away from your old companies obligations, according to the Administrators, the players do not have this right.

If TUPE (a statutory European legislation) doesn't come into play in this situation I would be interested to hear why not, but faced with TUPE you have 3 choices as an employee:

    (1) walk away (with no redundancy) under the terms of your current contract, which may mean players are allowed to walk under the terms agreed during the 'pay cut period'.

(2)join the new company under your current terms and conditions i.e TUPE, which the new company is under obligation to honour under TUPE legislation

(3)choose to transfer over to the terms and conditions of the new company. However in the real world you are normally TUPE'd to an established company that already has all it's T&Cs firmly in place, which I would doubt the 'Newco' would have in such a short space of time.

  9. If we start again with a newco we have to sell all the players from the oldco to the newco but if we have been hit with a transfer embargo how can the newco possibly sign any of the ones over 18 years old? I dunno how the rules work there but we could be fucked if this is the case. Does anyone know how this works?

As some of the other guys have mentioned, if you google 'TUPE' (Transfer of Undertakings - Protection of Employment). Basically it's a protection of your contract terms and conditions if your company is taken over by another, and there is still a requirement for your 'role'.

I've had it (TUPE) done to me 3 times and I've never seen a P45 once and my job, terms or conditions haven't really changed at all.

  10. I'd like to wish Calderglen High School (East Kilbride) all the best on Tuesday night at St Mirren Park in the Scottish Shield Under 18 Final against St Mungos High, Falkirk.

I found it interesting the number 1 mission statements for each school (but not surprised):

    Calderglen - Respect & Inclusion

St Mungos - Develop a 'Catholic Ethos' community

    Says it all.

  11. I am a member of Followfollow, but thought I would come across here to see if there are similar views?

Emotions are running very high, as I am sure they are on here.

Keen to understand what the current views are on here.

When it's the only show in town, where is creating a negative tide going to get us? We haven't even heard what the guy has to say. I wanted TBK but I never pinned all I had on them which is why emotions are runnning high over on FF.

  12. Open letter to Paul Murray:

I'm not going to hide the fact that I wanted TBK and BK to win PB, but I'm finding that my disappointment in the fact that you didn't is not what you'd expect. It's like when you lose a game but your team tried their hearts out, and how different it feels when your team lose a game without putting in the effort. It's a mixture of disappointment and anger.

You didn't put in the effort in the home straight when it mattered.

I also think you lost touch with the feelings of the Rangers fans (this is where I don't blame BK).

You are a Rangers man. You should know that the type of bargaining method you deployed with D&P is EXACTLY the same as that deployed by Whyte over the last 2 transfer windows i.e. go in with a fiver when the guy in front of you in the queue is waving a tenner. We, as Rangers fans, have had that mentality up to our back teeth over the last year and more in our transfer dealings with Whyte, and you should have known what it felt like to watch it unfold again on the biggest stage of all. IT WAS SUCH A LET DOWN. Then when you called in the cavalry (BK) and did the same thing again...enough was enough, I'm so disappointed to say. We wanted our Club in safe, trusted hands, but most of all we wanted someone who could show they were serious.

You know the last man that actually put any real money into this Club? Dave King and his £20m for no return. Since then we have had to put up with great pretenders, of which you now appear to have been one if I have to be honest. We have been made to look foolish once too often with the people around the helm of our club pretnding to be serious players at our expense.

We don't know what the future holds with Bill Miller (I don't mind admitting to being a bit concerned), but what he did (at the right time)was what Rangers fans needed (maybe not from Miller in many cases)- he 'stepped up and played' and looked like he wanted us.

You lost touch with the fans Paul, and you will have to live with that while you watch the uncertainties of our future unfold like the rest of us
