I wouldn't have said the exact same thing, I am not asking him to sit and have hours of discussion regarding the topic but, he could at least have warned them not to let it affect their performance.
Well he did state "I haven't spoken to the players about it in any great detail other than to point out that this is life at Rangers" I'm sure they have been warned

I fear Mather feels like the way to endear himself to the support and sell season tickets is to back Ally with a wad of cash.
I thought all our signings were no fees? I do agree though splashing the cash is not the way to go, you would hope we have learned our lesson there. The thing that concerns me is that it's a great time to introduce a good club structure regarding youth. I dont know if this is happening but it should be priority.

I'm not sure Green would have sanctioned all these signings that Ally's getting right now to be honest.
Ally seems to have Mather under his thumb for now.
Seems to be a good working relationship for the season ahead. Hardly under the thumb.
