I smell a yes vote coming tomorrow.
Get out clause for the SPL chairmen along the lines of " Whilst we really really really wanted to go along with the instructions of our fans, I'm afraid the big bad bank manager called last night to say if we vote no our debts will be called in, meaning we would be immediately placed in administration ourselves"

Wonder who Naismith will sign for
Liverpool Echo tonight suggesting Everton will make a bid for him.

I cancelled ESPN several days ago and they tried to persuade me to remain and offered me an incentive of two months free. I had previously advised their sales assistant that I was cancelling due to the bigotry and discrimination shown against RFC and the anti competitive nature of the actions which effectively was a barrier to free trade... Could hear other sales assistants in the background also dealing with cancellations.
Btw, if u cancel ESPN and suggest everyone does, you have to give them thirty days notice. Getting acting now as I believ from the conversation I had that they are feeling the pinch but principles come first...
I cancelled my Sky Sports in midweek and when asked why I told them ...... no Rangers no Sky.
They made a half hearted attempt to keep me by offering 20% off the next six months subscription.
Politely declined their offer.

What chance a yes vote on 4th July.
Is this scaremongering a Liewell ploy to get a yes vote.

So we have to apply by Friday but the SPL vote does not take place "officially" until 4th July. So technically on Friday we are still a SPL
club applying to "relegate" ourselves. Something doesn't sound right here.

Just talking to my old man about the match, anyone got any more info or even better pictures of it?
Cheers
From memory I think it was early 70's. It was cup quarter final day north and south of the border and both Rangers and Man U had been knocked out
of their respective tournaments so arranged this friendly. Not sure if it was a testimonial or not.
Rangers won 3-2 with John Greig scoring the winner. ( We cleaned up in the local Manchester bookies as they had Rangers at 3-1 ).
Man U had set aside about 8,000 places at the end opposite Stretford Road but approx double that turned up. I remember fans being pulled up from the
standing lower section up into the seated stand above to escape the crush.
A fair few punch ups as well before the game including one on the centre circle when a bear replaced a Man U flag placed on the centre circle with
a Rangers flag. Happy Days
SFL Vote Next Thursday 12th of July

[ STV understands the SFL board has ruled a simple majority will be required in the vote. A number of clubs have already indicated they will abstain due to a conflict of interest.]
You mean they have other interests on 12th July
