.. but BD is about Rangers (alledgedly !? ) - and this thread (IMHO) has nothing to do with Rangers - ergo - why is it in the BD?

It has nothing to do with rangers in the same way that people have nothing to do with rangers. The fact that such a high percentage of our members are members of the said organisations is where the connection is. As I said before take all the supporters out of ibrox who are aligned to these organisations and you would have very little left! Hence the reason we are also being represented in this forum.

Whether or not it is recocgnised by GLoS doesnt diminish the point that in the states the lodge is huge and increasing, the point 'the dude' made was their hadnt been a lodge opened since 1998 and it was on the decline.

I celebrate xmas as a time to thank people - besides I like giving presents and getting them ! (shallow I know) but, like many I dont do the churchy thing.

I participate (and have participated) in all song singing - I even used to think it was OK to be a '90 min' bigot - but then I stopped - so now I am selective in my songs and words I sign to those songs - plenty good songs with no bigoted undertones - besides,despite acrap voice, I like a wee sing song.

I go to funerals and weddings in kirk or not - your either celebrating peoples commitment to each other at a wedding (with a decent piss up and bogoe to follow) - or remembering and supporting friends of family at a funeral - and I dont need a god, nor a religion to celebrate a marriage nor be sympathetic to loss.

I also have no real issue with people of faith - but its not for me - and I see a big difference in people believing in god and religion. (although I can be a bit scathing in said discussions)

BUT my main point, here in the BD, is what has any of this to do with supporting Rangers?

Thanks for the explanation. Surely though the point of it being in the bears den is the fact that so many (a high %) are aligned to these organisations which is why the thread has so many viewers.

At least this will help lower the wage bill and re-dress the shortfall each month. Without very much loss to the club and none that cant be easily filled.

Bluepeter, I am intrigued by anyone who doesnt believe in some sort of god. How do square away thinks like xmas, easter etc or do you simply not celebrate these? When at ibrox and we sing our songs, do you not participate? Weddings, funerals are normally religious ceremonies, do you only attend humanist ones?

Whilst my faith remains in god, there have been many times when i have questioned it but something keeps bringing me back. I understand this may sound like i am having a go, i am not as I respect others views. Just intrigued as I say.

I seem to remember CW going on record promising £5m per year that then went up to £10, then £15m. This was even to be front loaded, I believe was the term used. Dave King hasnt been visibly there for the minority shareholders or fans during the administration process.
