  1. ha, it surely wouldn't stop them from saying that an employee has resigned, would it?

My company is a plc, and when senior management resign, they very quickly announce it.

When your Senior Management resigns, do they announce things when there is doubt over a potential financial settlement?

There is a potential liability to the company with Ally and the club should not say anything until that has been settled.

  2. Last time I listened to RangersChat it was being run be 3 guys over the age of 50 (or even 60). These guys are true Rangers fans. It's a fan cast so obviously there's a lot of swearing, hostility, and unobjective debate but you'd expect that. If it's not your cup of tea don't fucking listen.

My favorite radio show on the web is RangersChat. Great show and great hosts.

SHOCKED Rangers staff were told Christmas has been cancelled yesterday as the financially stricken club continues a slash costs across the business.

Saturday’s 1-0 win over Cowdenbeath - the lowest crowd for a home league game in 28 years.

And the extent of the current cash crisis engulfing the club became even more evident at lunchtime yesterday when non-executive director Derek Llambias sent a circular to all non football employees to reveal that they will not be receiving their traditional seasonal gift from the club and that the yearly festive bash at Ibrox has been scrapped.

Llambias was appointed to the board as Mike Ashley’s axe man and has put in place an extensive programme of austerity of cost cutting which recently included a raft of job losses.

Against the gloomy backdrop - and with Ashley’s emergency loans being used to keep the club in business - he has decided it would neither be affordable nor ethical Rangers to treat what’s left the workforce in the time honoured fashion.

Last year all workers received a voucher worth £50 for Marks & Spencer as well as a free Christmas knees-up on the company at in one of the stadium’s corporate suits.

But it’s now believed some workers are organising their own office party instead.

One source said: “We were given the news in an e-mail from Llambias and it’s another big blow to morale inside the club. We were told that these measures were being taken ‘due to the current financial position’. Llambias said it was ‘regrettable’ while thanking the staff for their hard work and commitment during what he described as ‘this difficult time’.

“The Christmas party has also been cancelled. It just shows what a mess this club is now in.”

Rangers last night declined to make any official comment but a source close to the board said: “This is a consequence of the club’s current financial situation. Cuts have to be made across all departments.

“If just one job can be saved by pulling the plug on a Christmas party then so be it.”

Good stuff. We need to cut all of the non essential spending completely out.

  4. I see different people blaming the board for Ally's failings. I have seen one saying that Ally is the inlynpersonnwe can trust to give us an insight to the board going one.

Ally's job is that of football manager and his duties are to do with the team, nothing to do with the going ons with the board. For on what u can see he has been backed by the numerous boards and been allowed to sign additional players when he shouldn't of been. He has a team with a wage bill of approx £6m, playing in the championship, the only one that has failed Ally is himself, and the players.

If I had been in charge he would of been lucky to of had a wage bill of £1m for the 3rd, £2 for the 2nd, and £3m for the championship.

He is 0-1-2 against part-timers this season. Enough said.

  5. -Sack McCoist ask him to wave the Compensation if he says no then we will just have to pay him it would be worth and his reputation would be shattered forever, I still hope he would wave the fee though.

-Ask Durrant to leave if he wants a pay off they demote to the U-15's or something as assistant manager untill we are more stable financially. Keep McDowell and Jim Stewart around for the time being.

-Ask McCulloch to leave I'm sure he would do do without taking a pay off.

-Get rid of Jimmy Bell and his son it's astonishing how much we pay to a fucking kit man and his son we need rid of this jobs for the boys attitude A$AP.

-Get rid of as many as we can from Shields, Foster, Mohsni, Smith, Zaliukas, Black/Law, Peralta & Robinson.

-Recall Barrie McKay, Luca Gasparotto & Callum Gallagher from their loan deals and give them game time.

-Get a few loans in from Newcastle and other EPL sides.

I was always amazed that we never approached any of the English side to grab a few Lonanees each year.

  6. Sell Mohnsi to whatever Tunisian club, use the proceeds to help offset the cost to terminate Ally and staff, try to move Law and or Black, put MacLeod in the middle, pick up from Newcastle United a few speedy loans to play on the outside midfield and fullback positions.

  7. He isnt untouchable, he has a pretty standard rolling 1 year contract.

You can still sack him or put him on Gardening Leave.

It is up to the board to act. Doesnt seem to be a priority for them though.

It's the Boards fault right? Bomber?
