I have not read much of this thread tbh..Just this last page..I can actually remember going along to a few Thistle games back in the day.(cousin followed them so went to the odd Cup replay falkirk at brockville was an awesome night tbh.. and was on the pitch at Forfar when they started their climb back up the Leagues) and all the lads who knew fine well I was a BEAR always made me feel welcome and would gladly give the mhanky mhob a hard time..

Now correct me if I am wrong here, but I am sure that way back Thistle only survived due to Rangers..

It shows how much the mhedia campaign and the general hatred now directed to Rangers has distorted things these days..

Oh well...Just need to put them in their place on Saturday..

An old gaffer of mine who was a Thistle diehard, told me Rangers gave Thistle an interest free loan to build Firhill

Football has changed, so forget what you remember from the days gone by because we won't be going back to stone age tactics under managers (I pray). The modern, foward thinking managers want their keeper to be comfortable with the ball at his feet, which Wes is. The only time he looks nervous with it is when the idiotic fans get on his back, screaming, shouting and bawling. How fuckin stupid do you need to be to think that helps?

The negativity from the stands has an effect on the pitch, you can see it and feel it. Its fuckin brutal. They get no backing, the stadium is either in utter silence or its screaming, shouting and moaning. Its not due to the performances because even last year when we were pumping teams it was the same. We're just not good supporters at Ibrox. Different when we're away.

Agree completely. When we were playing from back last night, no midfielders were dropping short to take balls from defenders (until McKay came on and played that role). In fact none of them even ran into a space as they were all shit scared to make a mistake in case they would cop the crowd's rage.

The long ball should have been used last night as the team were poor at moving ball with any purpose. However when you play the long ball the desire to win the second ball needs to be there, and last night they didn't look up for any sort of scrap which is worrying.
