Who's your realistic 3rd division replacement?
I would ask for applicants. Despite when many may think, the calibre of manager we can attract is still high. After a period of consultation, simply whittle down the applicants until you have a small number of candidates and begin the interview process. Once interviews have taken place, simply pick the best man.

What are you suggesting? Have you not read my posts praising the manager and the team? Posts that praise the team and the performance I will rep because they are correct, simple. Again I will repeat, well done Ally and the boys, great pressing performance tonight. You never deal with the issues raised in my posts, you just make silly and pointless remarks often highlighting a single word or phrase. We could all do this, but most would rather engage in debate and discussion.

Well if the Ally fan brigade produce threads on a positive night looking for negatives, what is a man to do? I agree tonight is about joy. Ally and the players deserve tremendous credit, and they have my ultimate praise.

Yes I would sack him. It is not in the long term interest of our club that Ally remains as gaffer. He is incapable of delivering the modern/fresh approach required to help our club flourish in the long term.

Some people didn't want Ally as manager, they are the most vocal on here when we are playing poorly or not winning, but disappear or post rarely when we are playing well and winning. Sadly some of them will never change their mind on him either as they want to be right.
I am still here. I credit Ally with the result tonight. I still do not want him as a manager long term.

That's right, he doesn't meet the high standards you expect from a Rangers manager. I suspect you will need to lower them all you will be in for a life of disappointment, misery and unrelenting existential darkness.
Mr Uber you are wrong. I will never lower my expectations. Eventually we will employ a manager with a tactical brain who is prepared to implement a style of play that will benefit the club in the long term. We cannot compete at the top table in Europe, and so its time to be creative. If playing long ball football floats your boat, who am I to argue?

Well the loss in the Ramsdens cup was devastating. Were you delighted? Tonight we played well and won, as I suspected we would. The players needed little motivation or instruction tonight, and so apart from praising the team and the manager there is little to say. Tonight was a unique situation.

Yes I am still here. Tonight is about the team and the club, there are few negatives. The debate about the manager is for another time. Lets enjoy the moment.

I think those touting this as must win have got it all wrong. Would be great to do it, but we're up against the leaders of 4 divisions above.
Would be a bonus to win, but can't lose sight of the fact the league's priority.
Rotten post, packed with plenty of excuses. Our wage bill is at least double the size of Motherwell, our calibre of player is still higher and were at home. 'The league is our priority' drives me insane, when did we lower our expectations? Your also stating Motherwell are 4 divisions above. Technically they are, but in reality they are not.
Expect a win, anything else is a disappointment.

Him and a select few posters on here have had it in for Ally since day 1 mate. While i totally agree that Ally deserves critisism for recent results, theese same posters have never had a good word to say about him.
Utter drivel. I only joined this forum in July this year, and I was more than happy to give him the opportunity to excel when he was appointed in 2011. I will admit, by December, I wanted him out. Despite positive results domestically, the tactics were odd, the football horrific and his team selections bizarre.
Lets not forget Ally went from a manager under pressure at East End Park on the Saturday, to an absolute hero by the Kilmarnock game the following weekend. In that time he did very little, just issued a statement and gave an impressive TV interview. It could be argued, that from a purely professional perspective and removing all emotion, our financial meltdown has benefited the manager. Suddenly the bad the results were forgotten and the man in charge had an opportunity to start again.

CHARLES GREEN last night admitted he feels sorry that Lord Nimmo Smith has been dragged into the madness of the EBT probe.
Rangers chief Green spoke out after SunSport revealed details of the plot to strip Gers of nine trophies.
Lord Nimmo Smith will front a three-man independent tribunal in November to probe alleged side payments to players.
Green refuses to recognise the hearing, but insists he will fight all the way to keep the honours.
And he’s expressed sympathy for the men who have been drawn into one of the most bitter rows in Scottish football history.
Green said: “We have never questioned the integrity of this panel. But I’m starting to feel sorry for them because they don’t know what they are getting themselves into. They are learned, they have international reputations and everyone knows their areas of expertise.
“But they are being drawn into something that is complete madness.
“If Lord Nimmo Smith can do me a favour, I would like him to get everybody in Scotland to agree whether we are newco or oldco.
“It changes every week to suit someone else’s agenda, so long as it doesn’t suit Rangers’ agenda.”
SunSport published documents which proved the SPL and SFA asked Gers to accept the loss of five titles and four Scottish Cups.
Green added: “I have said all along from day one that I will defend Rangers.
“I said that fans worry about losing their history. I have also said it’s the Rangers players who won these trophies.
“These battle honours have been won by players and they belong to the badge.
“They don’t belong to an owner or a corporate body.
“I believe that is what Lord Nimmo Smith said at the weekend.
“These trophies belong to the fans, the history books and the players who broke legs winning them.
“That is why I believe they should not and cannot be stripped.”
Green insists he is being denied cash owed to Gers as the SFA deem the money to be due to oldco.
But he argues he must be entitled to the money if the SFA argue he can face sanctions for alleged oldco crimes.
He said: “There is no relationship with the SPL and the SFA.
“I’m chief executive of Rangers and have obligations to deal with the SFA.
“As far as the SPL is concerned, I have no regard or respect for them.
“The SFA will be the appeal body in the event that I don’t agree with what Lord Nimmo Smith’s panel say.
“Yet it appears the SFA have the completely contrary view on some issues.
“I am owed £330,000 by UEFA and the SFA have refused to hand it over because they are saying I’m not entitled to it.
“It is money due to Rangers for releasing players to play for their countries.
“Maybe this is another case of Charles Green being stupid. Or is this now a case of ‘Well, it doesn’t suit us’.
“It seems we can have the pain but not the gain.”

POLICE are investigating after STV News sports presenter Raman Bhardwaj received a threat on a social networking website.
The presenter, who appears on STV’s evening news, became a target after Rangers fans claimed he was accusing them of being racist following an online debate on Sunday night.
The 37-year-old journalist, who has been with STV since 2001, had been talking with some of his 22,800 Twitter followers about former England defender John Terry’s FA hearing over racism allegations.

Some of the site’s users appeared to think the presenter had hinted that Rangers fans were racist, after he tweeted: “Rangers fans – and only Rangers fans on my timeline – are so quick to defend John Terry. Jeez. I wonder why.”
One critic said: “I don't understand what your saying here Raman. Could you explain? Are you saying we r racist?”

The presenter immediately denied that, but became the target for a series of angry messages accusing him of branding all Rangers fans racist.
One user, Frankie, said: “Clearly some RFC fans also follow Chelsea so I suppose that the most likely reason. Why do you think this is the case?” Raman replied: “At last, some sanity. I was questioning why and people started suggesting a load of nonsense. Cheers.”
Another, James Donaldson, said: “you could clear it up by publicly declaring you don’t think Rangers fans are racists, for the sake of clarity...”
Many of the presenter’s followers sent messages of support, urging him to ignore the abuse.

He said: “I’ve decided to come off twitter whilst a serious threat I received is investigated by police.”
Last night an STV spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that Raman Bhardwaj was subjected to threatening comments via social media.
“The matter has been reported to the police.
“As investigations are ongoing, we have no further comment and Raman will be not posting on social media sites in the interim.”
A spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police said: “There has been an incident reported, but it is an ongoing investigation and we are not able to comment.”

Laughable, isn't it? No-one is interested in anyone but us yet the SPL clubs still need us to prop up their failed businesses.
Our financial return is so low that it could be considered yet another SFA sanction.

Just listened to the first 20 minutes of the Sportsound podcast from this evening, and there is not much to add to what has already been highlighted. Slightly of topic, but Traynor stated that our share of the television deal is around three thousand pounds, yes three grand.

Apart from Celtic twice, the football was rotten all season. All the above is just excuses for a poor manager who you idolise. Your misty eyed opinion of our manager is biased and not neutral, like mine.
