  1. I wrote on the forum a while ago with the hole extra day training and the hole new direction the club was taking would unsettle our players and I think I am correct. These players look as if they are unhappy and look like they are unwilling to play for Pedro. I am worried very worried. What if we do get rid of Warbuttons shite then Pedro signs all these pishy no namers from Europe and it doesn't work out back to square one.

These players have had it to easy last few years and now someone has came in and being strict in a professional way they are throwing school boy tamtrums

Is one of the days in not just a recovery day though? Think it's just to get the players in as a team rather than doing their own thing?fuck knows

I think it is a recovery day tbh, I can see this becoming a problem for some of the players though. Especially the ones with little kiddies. Maybe its just me as a father who thinks this ??

  3. I'm just worried he will burn the players out I mean 6 days a week training, I know they are trained professionals who are on a lot of money each week but it could have an effect on the team. Just hope the players don't get to tired

  4. I admire the hard work these guys put in and the noise they create but they don't speak for the fans. I remember I was up the mainstand and a couple of boys from the ub section where arguing with an elderly fan across to the west enclosure Sometimes you get those boozed up wee fannys at games.

Well I didn't want to bring this up but:::: whilst staying with my Auntie in East Kilbride in 1972  one of the neighbours, my cousins friend was a Gers fan and they were playing St. Mirren in the cup. So I managed to persuade my dad that I would be ok going at the grand age of 13. On the coach I went for an easy game. Well it did turn out to be easy,,, unfortunately it was for them who won 4-1 at Ibrox. As you can imagine I was the butt of much ire on the coach, called a jinx and told to never come back etc. I think it was good humoured. Family life in later years means I have never been able to return to put the jinx to bed, but I will get back one day. Bournemouth, well we were never a threat to anyone until we ( in desperation and having no money ) decided to give the managers job to a rookie ex player. Now we are in dreamland, we used to have bailiffs turn up for 25 grand debts, now we have signed a player for 15 mill, it just doesn't seem real.

On the 16th February 1935 Rangers legend Tom Vallance died at the family home at 83 Pitt Street Glasgow.

Tom is buried in Hillfoot Cemetery in Bearsden and his funeral was attended by Mr. Struth, Chairman James Bowie and his old team-mate James McIntyre who both took a cord. Incredibly, players from the Vale of Leven team whom Tom had faced 60 years earlier in 1877 were also in attendance.

That will give you an indication as to how highly regarded Tom Vallance was.

Tom was paid the ultimate accolade by the Club in May 1898 when he was made a life member.  In 2012  we had Tom put on to canvas by way of a  painting by artist Helen Runciman which was unveiled at Ibrox Stadium at the end of our Founders Trail.

Tom Vallance took his rightful place at the top of the Marble Staircase alongside his friends and fellow Founders.

    Some facts on Tom  Vallance:

Tom had an incredible 60 year association with the Club.

He was a master oarsman, a champion athlete (he set a Scottish long jump record of over 21 feet), he studied at the Glasgow School of Art, had paintings accepted by the Royal Scottish Academy and was Rangers Club Captain and President for many years.

While President of the Club it was not uncommon to find Tom Vallance working the turnstiles on match day at First Ibrox.

We have recorded details of Tom Vallance being present at the ceremony held on 1st January 1929 which saw the opening of the Main Stand at Ibrox and also at a Dinner held in the old St.Enoch’s Hotel after a Rangers match in 1933, he was also a guest of the Club that year for the New Year’s day game against Celtic.

So, the lad who was present at Fleshers Haugh in 1872 was still attending Ibrox some 60 years later where the Club that he’d helped form and nurture were now playing in front of crowds touching 100,000.

    Tom Vallance.
