  1. the difference in how they have perceived events in comparison to my own thoughts on the subject, is absolutely stunning.

The deflection onto the board away from the real issue at hand amazes me - Allys wage is not simply "too high" - it is grotesque beyond belief and trying to make a moral comparison with CG's wage and others - while at the same time criticizing them for those same high wages - is a laughable argument.

It is indefensible that Ally should be looking to walk away with £750K. Using other peoples grotesque wages and the fact he is a "legend" as a reason for him to do so does not hold up under any serious scrutiny.

Good Christ! He was offered and signed a contract, he is entitled to get whatever money that contract states, does it include a buyout clause? yes, so move on and get over it already. Like you'd be walking away from a severance "for the good of the company".......... Paying out Ally is the least of our worries.

  2. Not always. I hark back, again, to Jock Wallace who after some kind of 'falling out' walked away without a penny and never spoke about why he left Ibrox. A Rangers man and a man of honor and integrity. Seems McCoist is no Jock Wallace, he's more like Jerry Maguire; 'Show Me the Money'.

Different times sadly, the days of Jock Wallace were gone long ago. This isn't just a Rangers issue. This is how sports has been for the last 2 decades. It's all about "getting paid". We just have to get over it. It's really nothing different than anyone else, just maybe on a larger scale. How many of us here, would ever walk away from our job, leaving money on the table? Just wouldn't happen.

  3. T

Obvious to a blind man it's about the money, is it wasn't he'd have have offered to walk away for the sake of the club. He is responsible for three years of terrible on-field performances which have driven many fans away. He has taken the GDP of a small country in his role as manager a job at which he has proven to be inadequate, yet he wants more??? Really???

    From striker to piker.........

It's ALWAYS about the money! Welcome to the world of professional sports, if you think otherwise or that McCoist should just "walk away" without getting paid, you will be sadly disappointed.

  4. Yeah it's not Ally's fault he signed them....was it the Tooth Fairy's fault then?

    He signed the players.

He refused to promote more youth players

He is the one playing them out of position

He is the one setting them up negatively and overly defensive

He is the one who seems unable to get them to up the tempo or their motivation levels during games.

He is the problem because we have on paper a team that should do a lot more than they currently do.

Pretty football and still sitting in the bottom divisions, is just not an option. Would I enjoy these wins if they had more "flare"?

Sure, but in my opinion, Ally had 1 goal and 1 goal only since the drop! Get us back in the top league!.... 58 League wins, 11 draws and 3 losses since then.

To me, I will worry about the bloody "entertainment" value of our football when we are back where we belong, until then just Fuckin win!

  5. I live in England and the on Rangers merchendise I can buy are usually the shirts. Since the deal with sports direct sometimes there might be a polo shirt or a training top.

If I was of a bheastly persuasion I could buy home away and 3rd shirts, polo's, jackets, training stuff, bags, balls, pennants, flags, mugs etc fairly easily.

Any idea why their merchendise is so much more easily accessible than ours?

As for any other Scottish teams, there isn't anything you could buy down here.

    One word....... NIKE

Football merchandise is few and far between here in Canada unless it is Nike brand. Tottenham, Man U, Arsenal, etc...and yes, the great unwashed, can be found in many of the major sports stores here. Finding Rangers gear is almost non-existent except for the odd "British" specialty shops over here.
