It's the first home game of a new chapter of our club, how isn't it one of the biggest games in our history? It is a significant moment.
How many chapters have we had? And how is this bigger than any other chapters?
-
I assume you ducked there because something just whooshed over your head.
Aye a still don't get it. Was it supposed to be funny?

Underestimate East Fife at your peril.
Who is under estimating East Fife?

Let's all get things into perspective about the size of the crowd for this game.
It's a Tuesday night in the middle of the summer holidays. We have a lot of fans who normally travel from England and Northern Ireland. Confirmation that the game would actually go ahead was only given just over a week ago. The ticket office staff have to deal with thousands of season ticket renewals and tickets for this game, they are working flat out. I believe that they lost a few members of staff due to lack of job security, they left for other positions. Getting every request processed takes time and we will have to live with that.
Not everybody can make this game. I sit in Copland rear and 2 guys in front live and work in the south of England. A pal of mine is currently working somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico.
If the SFA and SPL had done more to resolve issues earlier instead of trying to crucify Rangers we could have had the tickets sorted out before now. The ticket office is open tomorrow and there will be pay at the gate so there is still time for some fans to get along.
All things considered, a crowd of anything over 25,000 will be reasonable under these circumstances.
But if it was a Champions League game...

Comparing tomorrow nights game with a champions league game...

She's no mine anyway theres punctuation in that post.

Uch a might need to sit in the away end now

If you're getting the subway into town after the game walk down to Govan station. Means you get on an empty train and don't have to stand in that fucking queue!!!
Or u could leave early

What is this? A new section of the forum for yesterdays news? Rangers Media +1?
-
Never had a bad experience with them
Lucky you

Nacho, the Ticket Office people are working flat out. They have only had one week to do the work which normally takes weeks. Blame the SFA and SPL for the delay in granting our licence.
The Ticket Office has been a shambles for years. Has it always been the SFA and SPL that caused this?

I phoned the 0141 number about Peterhead tickets and got through in less than 30 seconds.
Still not got a clue when they go on sale though.
-
Had a look at the stadium plan there. Slowly but surely selling from this morning when I checked.
-
I'd be gutted!
I bought 8 for Brechin after walking in with 4 season tickets, but to be fair they were for 8 season ticket holders.
Thats fair enough its first come, first serve afterall.
-
Would anyone be happy if they couldnt get a ticket because 500+ non ST holders got tickets?
I was struggling for Brechin at first and a guy a work with knew a guy that had 4 spare. He obviously just bought them for the sake of it and people had travelled to the ticket office, some from a fair distance no doubt, to find they had sold out.
Personally I would give supporters clubs what they need then whatever is left to public sale.

Its a wee joke Wully

Rangers will not have lost 97% of their matches against third division teams or lower league opposition. Maybe its 98%, maybe its 95% but I can't think of too many. The odds are about correct.
Remember we are a 3rd Division club now.
-
East Fife are the division above us though
Was going to mention that but are we expecting a harder game off East Fife than anyone in Div 3?
-
Equivalent to odds of 1/15 for each game. About right i would think.
We wont be that much odds on. U can get 1/6 on tuesday and thats at home.
I wouldn't touch the bet if it was 100/1 it's not going to happen.
-
6/4 going unbeaten isn't far off the mark.
Chance of not losing at about 97% in any given match 0.97 to the power 36 = 33%.
Chance of getting beaten = 67%
Chance of not getting beaten = 33%
Odds 67/33 = 2/1
Where do u get ur 97% from?
-
No bud. I know it's a pain but don't want to give his id
Why not?
Thought part of being a good journo was being on the ball and being first to break news? Why would he not want to be named?
-
If true it's a decent signing for div 3
-
Odds checker - team specials
Paddy power 10/1
Thats to win every game not to go unbeaten. And that is one shite price!
-
A 38 game unbeaten run is 7/1?
Some of the prices are a joke duno how they gwt away with it.
Ronaldo 3-0 scorecast for Real against Apoel last season was 8/1. 4-0 was 9/1.
Claims of 30,000 and upwards (with more selling) for Tuesday.

Significant yes. But not the biggest of our history.
Just seems like people are treating this like it's the first game for a new club, when it's not.
I'll be there regardless but i'm not going to have a go at anyone who doesn't go for whatever reasons they have.
