I don't know if this is the worst ever result by Rangers. But it certainly feels like it. If we are serious about soaring high with the best in Europe then maybe we ought to get the basics right. This has to be the wake up call for everyone at Rangers. Whatever went wrong today. Whether it will be blamed on business off the park or new players bedding in or the wrong time, players , injury, day, snow.. or for whatever reason we should know that football is a leveller.Surely nobody, Especially not the manager and the training staff, expected the mighty Stirling Albion to turn over Rangers. For if they did then they should be asking questions about their commitment to the club and ultimately about their future at this club? Boy are we in serious trouble now. We, as fans, expected this when we played the European elite. When we gave them no more respect than they deserved we got the result. What's different in relation to the other clubs in the third division. Every week our opponents will be looking for our (not so huge) scalp in the same way we punched well above our weight in past years. Everything is equal for both teams on the pitch and I have to congratulate Stirling Albion for getting the result they so rightly deserved. They scored more goals than us. This wins the match and it's as simple as that. If Rangers management and players really thought they were better than this league then this result is what they deserved. Did they think they just had to turn up for the Rangers spectacular every week and enjoy the show? I suspect they did. Maybe they would be best served buying a ticket for the game like all other fans and enjoy the thrills and the spills of life in the third division from the stand. The team could be picked from spectators by lottery for the following week. At least you would get the players winning or losing having done their damnedest for this wonderful club and look at the savings on players and management fees? It's crisis meeting time. Not for the business of who owns or runs the club but for the day to day business of getting results week in, week out. If we can get this right every week we will deserve to be respected by our opponents. I have an optimistic view of our future as we build our club from the bottom up and giving our lion hearted youngsters the chance to gain the much yearned after experience for Scottish footballers. Our footballers, Rangers footballers, you understand who will go on to represent our country. Having been battle hardened by years of experience gained in the smaller grounds will likely go on to national success. Like the sounds of that, Rangers footballers, in the world cup. So do I? Time to begin by beating Queens Park and all of the rest of our opponents by a drubbing and let next year take care of itself.
