  1. Looking to get a massive canvas made and unfortunately run into the problems of finding resolution high enough to achieve this. Anyone have a vault or any hidden gems that they know is knocking about. Looking to make the most of this offer.

    http://www.picanova.co.uk/nl-kw-41-3-1/?

fully customisable, done one for my sisters Xmas and it arrived home today and impressed with quality.

Happy to provide sample (although team involved will hurt some eyes for those English followers!)

  2. John is an absolute gentleman. I bought his white Audi 80 Sport off him back in the early nineties. I answered his ad in the paper and as he only stayed 5 minutes away I nipped up for a look. He showed me the car and invited me in for a cup of tea. He seemed a really nice guy and was a bit embarassed when his wife asked what team I followed . When I said Rangers she said, ' my John played for the Rangers' proud as punch. He said ' oh be quiet the lad will no remember me' but I did and I think he was quite chuffed. I hardly looked at the car, never even haggled and gave him the cash there and then. I think he still blames himself for that game. Really good to hear he's still going strong, must be a fair age now.

Yea his wife took great delight in breaking it to me about Rangers like, plus she was from Thurso and myself being a dirty Wicker the banter was flowing! I mean who'd have thought someone from Thurso would have managed to get a Rangers player! lol.

Agree with the Wiki, defo deserves one, surely a more experienced writer from these forums can see that he gets a write up in reflection to his career?

  3. So lucky mate to be having a chat with a guy that's part of our history .JOHN VALENTINE You have to experience the bad to appreciate the good.

I would love to have been in your shoes and had that chat .

If he was man enough to say something like that after all these years then I would guess he has demons about it.

Sad but still big of him to own up ...........................

I'm certain the OP never meant this thread to be about a ref who cost us 2 OF Scottish cup finals and gave one of the most biased performances in an OF game I ever witnessed .I gladly paste him if ever met him .boob valentine of course

As for the Op . Hope you enjoyed your trip down memory lane .

Yea was a great moment for me, although i was born in 86 i never knew of him about his Rangers playing days, his wife also told me it still plays on him and i was to "google" it when i went home. Told me he didnt get a look in after that, sadly for him he's had two hip operations meaning his ability to get about is a bit limited but was still trying to get to the ICT vs Ross County game today. Didnt speak to him about the Rangers of today as i had limited time but none the less was a honour to meet a former Rangers player.

  4. Met John today after working his house on a call out. Will be first to admit i didnt know who he was but after telling him i was a rangers man, he immediately put his hands up and said he was the man who gave the poor performance in the Scottish Cup vs Celtic. Seemed like a gent and would have happily chatted about Rangers all day.

  5. those who stifled the club with season ticket money.... is this what they wanted.... those who said king would save us.... where is he? Money talks 100% of the time BOTH ways. Those who starved the club are now putting it to an investor elsewhere.

  6. the dross that the kids have to watch now a days players should be making a extra effort to sign autographs. Once we are in the top league and none of these guys are playing bar 3/4 of them, the rest will be wishing they lapped it all up when kids came running up for autographs rather than when they are working getting orders from a manager to stack shelves

  7. After having a quick look at the Rangers staff (based on the Rangers website) theres a few things that concern me.

Steve Harvey - Tasked with being team analyst, allegedly this is the role in which he finds weaknesses in players and in the squad by reviewing performances. Based on the recent couple of years performances is Steve partially responsible for the teams poor performances and individuals who are not progressing? Surely such a role at Rangers is pivotal and should be monitored closely. Failure in players to up their game and improve at this level could be down to his failures to understand the players weakest points and strongest points in order to develop them properly.

Ian Durrant - Nothing on the site in regards of his coaching level. But if we ever needed a guy on the sidelines to watch the game with his arms folded we are sorted.

No sports scientist? Most developing clubs have this. Ensuring the players are correctly eating, correct weight and better understanding of injuries and potential implications of not having this causes our players to gain weight, lead an erratic lifestyle. Although Paul Jackson has been involved with Rangers he is not full time and runs a practice as his main business.

No scout? An obvious one, if we cant get the best kids in Glasgow what chance do we have of getting the best ones in Scotland.

The site has listed nine (9) members of background staff, this includes a kit man and a coaching assistant to setup drills. Ally is severely hindered by this but is this his choice to work alone? Also we have no foreign coaches, this has been proven in recent years to be successful bringing in coaches from abroad. They offer new methods and tend to adopt a more professional and strict attitude to training.

  8. Some of us with those viewpoints simply cannot be bothered continually having the same arguments over and over and over again.

Before the game started, I noticed a lot on here liked the team and formation, everyone was apparently being played in their own position, etc. that has now turned into slating the set up because the performance dipped after a good start.

When the manager changed it, and brought on Templeton for McGregor, it turned the game, which he deserves credit for.

The goals were both very good finishes and we did get a win. Overall the performance level still has a long way to go, when the rest of the team work out how easy Miller is going to make it for them to get an out ball, we will start to coast. And if they learned from him about off the ball movement then we would very quickly get into a different place.

Agree with you. people are acting as if we lost and mccoist should go etc. McCoist gave us the team and formation we wanted and even made the subs we desired, we won the game but thats not enough for some....

  9. For every day McCoist remains in the job, that's one more day he has us heading back towards the brink and one extra day to be required for someone to sort his monumental fucking mess out.

I see it. Pretty much every Rangers fan sees it (apart from the 6 or 7 trolls on here who are still in denial). But uortunately, I doubt McCoist will ever be sacked. He will need to walk, which he won't, cos let's face it - would you give up his salary!?

    what is McCoisy's salary?

  10. The 352 is a disaster huge gaps. Jig in defence leaves huge gaps between midfield and attack as we sit too deep and cannot squeeze the game. Too much like Walters team with Davie weir in it except Walters team had much better players.

Saying that most of you giving pib abuse changed your arguments halfway through, one minute it was none of the hibs team player in the premiership last season, to aye well they never played as a team.

Anyway I don't see Ally turning the football around and tbh not sure what we do in training but not a lot I think. We look unfit and even when they were down to 10 men we still had everyone back for a corner!!!!

3-5-2 was fantastic, Jigs pace means that Zaliukas or McGregor will hold back not leaving Jig exposed, The full backs (Wallace and Foster) have great pace and showed tonight however Fosters final ball has a lot to be desired. Black plays more of a holding role, thus meaning the space between midfield and defence is shored up. Law and McLeod were given with a freedom to play tonight and both scored. Miller and Boyd combination is already tried and tested, in good time it will be firing. Some nights Miller will miss every shot he takes others will hit the back of the net.
