Don't know if source can be trusted, never heard of vital football. It popped up on Newsnow site. Just wondering if anybody has heard anything.

Martin Bain leaves Ibrox
Martin Bain will today be replaced as CEO of Rangers by Scottish Rugby Union chief Gordon McKie.
It appears that the Lloyds Banking Group, who are looking to make further savings across the business, have realised that Bain's exorbitant £650,000 annual salary is not good value for money, something many supporters have thought for a long time.
It appears Walter Smith's quotes about the bank running the club was just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the upcoming changes at the club.
As we reported earlier, several reliable sources seem certain that current shareholder Dave King will launch a take-over bid as early as this week, with rumours of a meeting between the club and an interested party holding talks on Tuesday doing the rounds.
Keep it on Vital Rangers and the Vital Rangers forums for all the latest information
Don't see any quote marks. Anybody heard anything?

OK Boss, I can't claim to be a financial expert, but I knew there was something about loan notes.
Checking back through the wonder of Google, I see Murray Sports had loan notes of 60million quid in 2002 which were to be repaid if the shares in RFC Holdings (which own around a third of Rangers shares) were ever sold.
Quote from MIH acounts 2002:
The loan notes were issued by Murray Sports Limited, a related party. The loan notes are due for payment in the event of a sale of all or substantially all of the shares, assets or businesses of RFC Investment Holdings Limited and/or subsidiaries.
It would seem that at that time the club was valued at 180million.
If I've got the wrong end of the stick here, feel free to put me right.
What's the relevance as to what Rangers were valued at in 2002? It's 2009.
Murray Sports currently has its investment valued at under £20m.
However this is not relevant to the accounts of Rangers, and Lloyds will not be trying to lump debt into Rangers.
At least the first part of your first sentence is correct.
Thanks Bluedell, The dryness of that line will have me laughing all day. I look forward to your posts any time anything financial happens with our club. Cheers.

A man of the match thread after each game. All the members pick there top 3 players from the game. e.g.
1. N. Novo.
2.K. Boyd.
3.S. Papac.
Best player gets 5 points. Next gets 3 points. Third gets 1 point. It can be added up at the end of the season. This would give you a Rangers Media player of the year.
That's a good idea, but we already have our player rater which was launched last season. You can rate every player out of ten that plays in every match. The link can be found at the top of the forum
Rabbitt, I had forgotten about that.

the away fans/home fans..are rangers fans.
easy to get your seat every week..arrive late, leave early.
go to a seat away..unless you run the bus,you get where you get..
sometimes twice a week.
home fans..really.... are not fans..until the big games.
Care in the community is just not working.

Nearly 1000 posts and nearly 16000 views makes it a successful thread. Lets face it they give us so much material. I vote to keep it.

A totally seperate section for Loyalist/Unionist/Protestant discussion would be superb CR if possible.
The history and traditions of our club are inextricably linked with the aforementioned views/beliefs and a seperate section where like minded folk could discuss these topics would cut down massively on the in-fighting we have at the moment regarding them.
Cheers
Here here, there are enough threads to make a section dedicated to it.
If you keep all the protestant/unionist/orange order/political posts in a dedicated section it would mean that the bears den could always be kept for the football.
I joined this site about a year ago. I have no idea about how it was founded, by who and why. I would like to see a bit about the history of the site and the people who came up with it. For respectful reasons only.
In other forums the quoting is is only allowed to be three deep. If this was put in place automatically it would cut some of your bandwidth and storage and also make threads easier to read. Scrolling threw the same posts only to get one new line, I feel is a waste of time.
I joined the sky sports fantasy football league. We have a dedicated Rangers media league set up by one of the members. How about doing what a lot of people do in work, people go a fiver a skull. All those who wanted could send £5 by pay pal to the Rangers media account. The site keeps £1 out of every £5 to help with the running costs of the site. The rest goes into the pot. The people who don't gamble/cant afford it can still play and compete. The money would be paid out to the top 3 finishers in the league that paid. Same could apply to the BBC predictor and so on.
Sorry forgot one. Few weeks ago there was a "lets all laugh at celtic thread" Could that be pinned somewhere so that all jokes, pics and stories could be kept for a laugh?

Never underestimate the luck of timmy. I won't celebrate this draw until full time at the Emirates and Celtic are in the Europa Cup.

Boab, thanks for putting the utube video into the thread, I'm not sure how to do that. Cheers.

Your welcome, just glad you didn't think I was stepping onto your toes
Give you a wee pm about the you tube thing.
Thanks for taking the time to help me with your pm. As for stepping on my toes, no way. Anything I can learn to make my posts better is good.
Cheers.
