I think Unai Emery would be a good fit at Arsenal but even then he's not really the sort of big name I think Arsenal fans would want.

If Wenger leaves in the next I'm really not sure where their next manager is coming from. All the high profile managers are in work at the moment and I don't think their fans would accept an appointment that could be considered "downsizing".

read something about Emery being lined up for the Madrid job depending on whether the keep Zidane

I wonder about the possibly playing the 4-3-3 differently set up, as someone suggested earlier?

i dont think we will, seems pretty confident in the system

seems quite stubborn (not sure thats the right word as it sounds quite negative) in his thinking

I had actually forgotten about that. Delete thread!

you made a good point though, it does make you wonder with all the midfielders we are being linked with

although i do think its more to do with bulking up the squad and improving the quality

i think we would all like for us to start being linked with centre backs and centre forwards haha

  5. imagine that wee virgin was your son, walking by his room and hearing that, imagine the disappointment you would feel at raising that.

you would be thinking "why dont you go out with yer pals instead of sitting in your room making pathetic videos all day, please go and get laid"

Ah cheers; I'll read that. On a quick point about the players and training, I'm sure the same was said about them and Moyes. I could be wrong, but that rings a bell.

aye i think you might be right, im sure i remember some story about the players kicking up fuck cause Moyes removed chips from the canteen menus haha

either way, there will be alot of money spent in Manchester again this summer with Jose n Pep going toe to toe

I heard about that. I still think that they will have made a mistake sacking him. They have some young players in their side who were coming on to a game. Will Jose Mourinho do it that way? I have my doubts.

was something in The Guardian about how the players werent to happy with his methods, they were discussing just ignoring his tactics at one point during the season.

i think the fans booing him during his speech after the last home game and when he came on the screens at Wembley might have been a factor aswell, its a business to the Glazers, bums on seats, shirts sales and everything else will come into their thinking.

i read aswell that it was announced at 1pm to coincide with the New York stock exchange opening and that the share price rose a couple of points on the back of it.

    edit: heres the Guardian article....

Huge mistake sacking Van Gaal. He was building something special there which, given time, would have brought them a lot of success. The club in the Netherlands, at the moment, with reputedly the best coaching/scouting set up is AZ Alkmaar; that was Van Gaal's doing. He is one of the great thinkers about the game, and should have got time to get it right at Old Trafford. You don't appoint a guy like him to give you a short term fix, but it appears that was exactly why he was appointed. Huge mistake.

supposedly LvG only wanted a 2 year deal when he took over and had to be convinced into signing a 3 year one

It'll be interesting to see who he goes after.

The Guardian are saying that Andre Gones, Joao Mario, Morata, Garay, Stones & Icardi will be his main targets.

    i seen a 300m transfer kitty mentioned.

will be interesting to see who he keeps from the current squad

also saw something about Zlatan being one of his assistants haha

Well I have sang the same song all season, I think you are being too generous, as for being stinking only today, we have been on/off all season, getting away with playing against crap teams, although we played well against the scum, we had very little penetration and today, which is the hallmark of Warburton's style of play/players he chooses. Personally I think there will be a new manager by January next year unless the board are hiding behind Warburton because of a lack of funds and lets face it Warburton has never had a big budget to handle which is a big unknown also.

you think Warburton will have walked or been bagged by January??

  11. everybody that started today minus Zelalem) =10

from the bench, possibly Burt = 1

    Windass Crooks O'Halloran Forrester = 4

thats 14 (15 if you count Burt) that will be involved in the squad next season.

as people have said i think middle to front we aint that bad, we do need better defenders though.

also a keeper, not to replace Foderingham but to come in and challenge him.

hard to say who would be in our "strongest 11" until the tranfer window is closed but itll be about a squad not just 11 players.

as stinking as we were today, im amazed that some players are being written off as shite and can get tae fuck etc when after the Celtic game they were going to romp to 55

  12. our season isnt over yet, hes part of the squad, will be there on Saturday.

would be pretty shite and detrimental to the team spirit the manager has built up if he turned round and said "thanks for helping us get there Dom but youre suspended for the final so fuck off back to London mate".
