Mentioned last night how I think MW seriously thinks he is doing an ok job ...

low and behold today he is bemused by talk of shocking league start

just seen a clip on the news when he was saying dismissively about a "horror start" but still being around the team in 2nd who everybody has been saying has started well.

sadly for Warburton being "around 2nd" and so far behind the tarriers is a horror start.

he shouldnt be saying things like that, he has to realise who he is the manager of.

i know he is trying to protect the players but they will hear that and think being around 2nd is acceptable.

that was the first time ive thought to myself that maybe he isnt the right man to take us forward.

    Bla bla fucking blah.

If any of you spout this pish from now on you seriously need to get your fucking head checked as a Rangers supporter.

The performances this season have been nothing short of an absolute disgrace and burying your head in the sand is not going to help.

2 wins at Ibrox in the league is an embarrassment for any Rangers side.

seen the title and was ready for coming in to have a go

you have to wonder how long the ones that do spout it think its acceptable to keep saying it

eventually the pish becomes acceptable and we are happy to get to the odd cup final or whatever.

"aye but remember where we were......"

    pish, not good enough.

I thought he said he was supposed to be neutral but was happy Sinclair's two corners were wild.

the guy is a prick but this was the way i took it when he said it

also said there when Miller went off something along the lines of "hes wasnt happy at the decision and neither am i"

but as i said he is still a prick

Why would you need to pay £2 million to wrap his contract? Tell me you don't believe that's the figure??

because thats what hes contracted to.

i get that there will be negotiations but i dont think we should let him come up here and pocket £1m (ur guestimate) for doing fuck all bar embarrass us.

until the negotiations and an agreement is reached hes entitled to 2m quid, thats why i said "at the moment thats the figure" (tu)

Let him sit out his contract for 2 years costing us £2 million down the drain? Thank god you're not chairman

and paying him 2m next month to scrap his contract (cause at the moment thats the figure regardless of what you think Joey and his agent would accept) isnt money down the drain?

if he wants to tear up the contract instead of sitting in the stands then fair enough but should we fuck give him any sort of payoff.

Yes I'm making up a number, that's why I said negotiate a figure say £500k. What do you suggest we do?

and you didnt say negotiate you said "agree to pay him" which sounds to me like giving him what he wants

  7. 5 minutes ago, AlCapone said:

So are you saying it's better for the club for him to st out his contact for 2 years and cost us £2 million? Don't you think it's better to say agree to pay him £500k to leave in January and only cost us £1 Milion? Save a million pound

have you spoken to Joey or his agent to know he would take 500k or are you just making up numbers?

  8. 2 minutes ago, AlCapone said:

S it not a bit obvious what I'm saying? If he sits out the 2 years and doesn't play then that a wage we are paying for a non player. We then won't have a budget to replace him with another player. He will leave in January with a settlement, don't be in any doubt about that. We are not stupid enough to let him run out his contract not playing, nor can we afford it

i know what you meant, so by that logic if he was playing then we couldnt sign anybody for the duration of his contract because we couldnt afford it?

our budget for the next 2 years is dependent on Joey Bartons contract?

  9. 2 minutes ago, AlCapone said:

That's fantasy stuff, first of all if we've budgeted for that we then won't have the budget to sign a replacement for 2 years.

barton will be more than happy to move on in January and I'm sure we can negotiate a settlement that suits both parties. £500k should do it which means we will have lost a cool million on him. Hopefully the board can afford it. HEll mend the board for signing him behind the managers back

how would we not have a budget to sign anyone for 2 years?

when Barton signed his contract we wouldve known we had 2m to pay him over the course of his 2 year deal. That wouldnt have any bearing on any future transfer/wage budget.

if hes happy enough to go in January why should we pay him off? if he wants to go he can go, we should be telling him we are going to keep paying him his wage for 2 year if he wants to walk we shouldnt be paying him to do so.

  10. Just now, AlCapone said:

So. If he didn't ask to leave you would be happy to pay him for 2 years?

aye over the course of 2 years, thats what i said.

im sure weve budgeted that 2m over 2 years not shelling it out in a lump sum a couple of months before the January transfer window opens

if hes going to get the 2m id rather it was over 2 years like we planned when we signed him.

if it means hes sat on his arse for the duration then tough titty

Without going into much detail, I'm currently going through something similar with my old employer. If be stunned if we had grounds to sack Barton and can only see him leaving soon if he's bought out of his deal.

if we had grounds to sack him he would be sacked by now, it wouldnt be dragging into a 5th week.

personally i wouldnt be paying up any contract, id keep him until he asked to leave

    I'm doing this!

ive got a board in the spare room and seen a Rangers cabinet a while back but just had a look there and all thats coming up is New York Rangers ones.

had a board in my living room when i was young and single, the good old days as i like to call them haha

  13. i wouldnt be suprise if hes worked towards this from day 1 to publicise his fucking book to be honest.

    seems like a complete cunt.

what i do think though is that he has come up with the best of intentions but for 1 reason or another doesnt fancy it now and wants away.

the bit in the Guardian interview about walking around with his head down avoiding eye contact and any chance of confrontation tells me that hes misjudged what its like up here and is regretting all the pish on twitter.

shat it and wants back down south.

hopefully he goes without a payoff cause i cant see him playing for us again
