  1. It's got nothing to do with positivity or negativity. Anyone who says it's over is talking nonsense.

Even if we do end up losing the league? Even in hindsight those who said it's over right now will still have been talking nonense in your view?

I would have to say yes, because at the time they said it, the league wasn't actually over. Keep believing. :rangers:

  2. Alexander

    Broadfoot Dailly Weir Papac

    Thomson

    Ferguson

    JCD Cousin Boyd Novo

too right I would go for that

Get Broadfoot to fuck, he is utter garbage, it's time to give Whittaker his run in his natural position.

Have to disagree with you there. Broadfoot has made some mistakes this season, but so has the entire team. He has done a great job since Hutton left. It's not his natural position though, I'd like to see him play alongside Cuellar whenever Weir retires (if he ever retires )

  3. So now it's all gone arse up selling Hutton was the biggest mistake ever?

I'm sorry, but thats a load of bollocks. I'm 100% certain that there wouldn't be one thread saying "oh if we hadn't sold Huttton" had we gained a couple of favourable results in the past week.

Our away form over the past 6 weeks or so is what has cost us the league, not selling Hutton.

His sale hasn't been considered a factor up until now, let's not make it one and start blaming SDM.

Good point mate. We haven't actually lost the league yet but if we do it won't be down to the fact we sold Hutton. Our form recently has dipped, perhaps caused by fatigue due to the number of games we've had to play and the goals seem to be drying up. So it will be a variety of factors like that previously stated plus suspensions and injuries to blame, NOT the sale of Hutton.

  4. At this moment in time I would never replace Fergie as captain, and to be honest I would never give Cuellar the arm band now or in the future, don't get me wrong King Carlos is great, he already loves the club and the fans and doesn't want to leave but I think he is better filling that no nonsense defensive roll that he does so well rather than trying to get him to control and influence the rest of the players.

In future, within the remit of the current squad I would consider McGregor or if he actually got a regular start Novo for the role of captain.

IMO , Kevin Thomson will be the next captain of Rangers

His attitude is excellent and he is always erncouraging other players

Totally agree. He's the best man for the job (after Barry)

  5. I am watching the guys go up and collect their medals and I can honestly say that every one of them played their hearts out tonight and during this amazing run.

That kind of effort demands our respect and our support and I for one shall continue to give it to them all.

Rangers, we will support you evermore!

Hats off to the victors though, they are a very good side and have some smashing players

    (tu)

  6. The Italians tuned up their instruments and the Viola played magnificently but for the first 90 minutes of the performance the Bear's bass section muted the sound from the Viola.

For the encore the Viola tried again and almost succeeded to overwhelm the Bear's bass section.

Unfortunately for the Bears, one of their lead French Horns had difficulties and had to retire.

Still the Bear's bass section boomed on.

Finally, at the end of the performance, when it came down to individual instruments, it was up to the little Spanish piccolo to win the day and the Rangers Choir sang to the heavens and the tears ran.

    See you in Manchester. :rangers::rangers:

(I hear they're good at music as well)

  7. I am the only one not too impressed by him? Although he hasn't had any specific howlers, he really hasn't got any presence or command of his box and I have no real confidence in him...he seems very very average, the type of keeper that could be at any smaller SPL club....the type that won't do anything wrong, but he won't do much right either! On the other hand, his distribution is better than McGregors which is something and as he is a back up keeper then it's no real surprise that he ain't that hot.

Hopefully McGregor can get back fit with a few games left of the season.

Are you the GK scout for Stirling Albion, because you couldnae spot a keeper if he came up and drop kicked up the arse

    Alexander the Great :king:

  9. I disagree, I think he has played some of his worst games for Rangers at right back. And we have 3 games in hand, stop being a defeatest, keep believing and No Surrender

I suggest you check my 'Positives' thread ;)

I tried, but I couldn't find it :harhar:

  10. He's not good enough for the Gers, simple as.

He's a trier, but his basic lack of footballing ability mean he'll never be good enough. Even when Hutton was playing rubbish, he could still pass/control a ball, Broadfoot seems even uncapable of that.

Add to that his insistence of giving McGeady at least 5 yards of space every time he got the ball, all adds up to disaster.

Eric is right in saying that we need to give players a break sometimes and get off their back, but Broadfoot has been poor for ages now. I'm not having a go at him for being lazy, he's a big grafter. It's that he's just not Rangers class, and it isn't his fault.

I think it would do Broadfoot some good as well to be taken out of the limelight/criticism and 'rested' until the end of the season.

I don't believe he's been poor for ages, for example, in the Fiorentina game he was poor for the first 30 minutes then seemed to have a word with himself and pick his game right up. Every player in that team today, not just Broadfoot, at times, seemed to give the Celtic players loads of space. Broadfoot has done well against McGeady so far this season. And if you rested Broadfoot, who would you replace him with, given our current situation within the team?

Depends how long Whittaker is going to be out for? Is it one or three games?

Sadly, we have no alternative to Dailly at CB at the moment, so I'd go with Whittaker-Dailly-Cuellar-Papac after Whitt's comes back from his ban.

Does Webster's inclusion on the bench v Fiorentina mean he's close to fitness?

I think Whittaker contributes more to the game from midfield and given the fact that McCulloch is out think it would be a big mistake taking Broadfoot out the side to move Whittaker to left back. Just my opinion, but don't think that's the answer.

Maybe your right, but I'd disagree about Whitts in midfield. He's a RB by trade, that's where he should stay.

And for the first time this season, I'm starting to think we may need to play the footballers (Buffel for example) in place of a 'hard worker', because we're chasing this league now.

I disagree, I think he has played some of his worst games for Rangers at right back. And we have 3 games in hand, stop being a defeatest, keep believing and No Surrender

  13. Setanta does seem to have a slight bias to Celtic. However it's an Irish station, so it's to be expected I suppose. After watching on ITV4 then going back to the Scottish commentary, it's night and day, in terms of professionalism.

True, true. I chose ITV4 over ITV so as to avoid the Scottish "bias" commentators however I was fortunate enough today to buy a new DVD recorder and whilst connecting it partially disconnect the scart plug at the back of the telly and have intermittent sound during the first half. Unfortunately, someone worked out what I had done and got it working again and I had to listen to that tim crocker again.

  14. I sometimes wonder.

    No.

And seen as I'm on this topic, he's gone, stop bloody going on about him. We could all say that we were missing Laudrup today as well!!

Got every right to put it up for discussion. This is a forum after all. Please calm down. I'm pissed too after today but I am not taking it out on fellow supporters.

Taking it out on fellow supporters? I'm sorry but the Hutton thing has been ongoing since he left in January. We can't blame every bad result etc on that move. We have to move on and oh, by the way I'm not pissed, I've only had 4.

  15. There's a guy in my work who's a Tim. He is actually alright and you can have a good chat with him about Scottish Football in general. BUT, he text me today with "Hail, hail......" and I can't really remember the rest, think it was something about the smell, but anway, this was my reply:

"3 ganes in hand how are you gonna get the mighty gers negative points". He stopped texting after that
