  1. He wasn't at his best today not many were. I would agree with Wes and McKay, but I think many are focusing on his attacking play now. Although he was sloppy by his standards he did keep his head in the game. He cleared a couple off the line and headed a couple out of danger too. Great ball for the goal in the end aswell. Was a poor reaction from the fans maybe the old dear who picked just wanted to meet her favourite player.

  2. Opinion so far is he's not very good and is showing nerves. On the little time he's had in a new team this can be excused.

Really good decision to give him a  6month deal. Let him settle and then judge when it's more appropriate. I'm pretty sure if he shows the hunger and skill required to force a starting place he will be offered a contract before his 6 months is up.

This thread:lol:. Actually people in here trying to defend bitter boyd and michael ave got fuck all nice to say about Rangers stewarts comments on Rangers transfer business hahahaha. We have missed out on ONE player. Who even said we were that interested in him that he was a top target? The papers? Never heard MW say once that Diagoraga was his priority this window.

Also I highly doubt MW did not have any say on the bids for him due to the fact it was his old club and a player he knew well.

People also need to remember weve signed 4 players in this window already

I think it's called falling for it. I would like to think our fans wouldn't but clearly some have. We are not like Barcelona/Real Madrid with presidents signing players for popularity no expense spared. Or even like David Murray with the my wallets heavier than yours attitude. We have a football manager with a business background and an emphasis on value. The desicion to spend on players will be his along with his staff and the boards willingness to spend. It is naive to think it is solely down to any individual. And if it was do our fans actually believe King would risk losing Warburton, his staff and the majority of the fan base over a couple of £100k.

  4. We beat Hibs with 10men quite comfortably. With only 1 of the loanees featuring due to the red card. I think this gives us a little bit of insight to what we would need. It is a credit to Hibs and Falkirk to still be within 10 points of us at this stage but I wouldn't get carried away at them signing Stokes its 1 player and for him to play it will break up the partnership of Cummings and keatings. There is no way Warburton has been let down by the board on valuation. He has been trusted to bring in his own staff and restructure all aspects of the clubs management from scouting, analysis even IT with player profiling. This would have cost way more than the £100k or so we are supposedly short of. Also if we had £1mil to spend last week on 2 different players we will still have that £1million to spend on 1 player. Understandably King will take some slack for comments of £30million and over spending but it's not solely his desicion what gets spent on a player the manager will have a valuation and shortlist of targets aswell as the other directors. I'm glad we have a manager who understands value and won't overspend like King said we would. Maybe Warburton sees more value in getting Murray Park up to scratch and finally using it properly than in an SPFL player. No disrespect to him but we won't be held to ransom by the chairmen that voted us out and wished us dead.

fergie pre blackburn was miles away from anyone else, post blackburn he thought everything should go through him no matter what, maybe he felt the need to try carry the team, who knows

as for durrant, miller and ferguson (both) i dont think there is a comparison as all 4 were in completely different eras of rangers teams if you will

    Completely different eras??

Durrant, Miller and Barry played in the same team.

Durrant played with each of the others. Completely different eras would be Baxter and Gascoigne not players that actually played in the same side. Ferguson was class at times and over rated at times, carried us at times and really showed quality as a young player in the champions league. Probably edges it as out of the 4 he fulfilled his potential and maybe more.

They moved to us at the time for whatever reason they had. I think it's slightly different in this case. James claims he maybe wants to play for us some day after he can't get a contract in the EPL/Championship.

Excuse me for not getting about all gooey about that.

James doesn't claim this at all. James is a good down to earth guy who hasn't forgotten where he came from and before moving south was a season ticket holder. Unlike a lot of others he happily admits this and trust me cash wont be an issue. Ofcourse he wants to play at the highest level he can, For Aslong as he can. I don't see how you can have an issue with him for stating he would live to play for us someday.

  7. He did have a coaching role at Dunfermline so would imagine he does have an interest in coaching. As a few others have mentioned though he is a very good pundit and maybe sees that as his future in football. The wages at sky and BT won't be too bad.
