Yes... He has indeed been missed.
We thought it was out with the old guard and in with the new breed but it hasn't panned out that way.
Pedro Mendes when fit has not quite stepped up to the mark creatively either. Another guy who we used to say Ferguson was just stunting in creative terms and impeding and dominating with his moaning etc.
Fuxache, we don't half need a good moaner / cajoler / leader oan the park noo!

As far back as since Gary Stevens left the club... the fans' main target for hefty abuse has been the man in the right back position in particular.

You're right mate. The whole league is in a bad way but we need to try our utmost to retain the league and qualify (for financial reasons primarily) even if it is only to be the whipping boys again.

It's a fuckin' Sun article for fuxache!
I heard Gough being interviewed on radio regarding this and he never criticised Miller and Bougherra - he admitted that there were plenty of bust-ups in his time and he actually commented on how he thought it was a good sign in terms of passion.
And, yes... Smith does have to stick up for his players. Let's face it, no one on here does...!
