  1. Strange how it's not worked out considering the success he has had in Scotland scoring goals.

He's missed so many chances this year and he simply hasn't performed. Easier saying he'd do better now the team is creating more but he was missing chances pretty much every week when in the team.

We've been very good the last two games at pressing opposition high up the pitch, I'd be reluctant to write him off considering the amount of goals he's scored for us in the past but for the moment I don't think he deserves a place in the team (tu)

  2. Just wait till Columbo sees this thread. You're all in big trouble.

I think we have a chance of winning the league tbh

Today was a very small step in the right direction. I'll start being a lot more positive if Hearts continue to drop points or we start to look like putting together a run.

I'm not going to get delirious though based off just one result going in our favour. The odds remain very much in their favour (tu)

  3. Very sad it has ended this way. McCoist was a legend to me when he took over as manager.

It's regrettable he never got the chance to have a proper go for the top flight title. I think overall he didn't do a particularly good job for us but the circumstances in which he managed were so far removed from what any other Rangers manager has had to face, its sad as I said he never got a proper chance to compete for the SPL title.

I think it's right he goes and I hope a reasonable settlement can be reached in regards to his wages. If he cares about the club as much as he preaches then he won't demand every last penny that he's contractually entitled to.

On McDowall I'm underwhelmed by the appointment, but its dictated by finances and it would be wrong to pre-judge him (tu)

  4. He probably wouldn't have been given the job to be honest.

In all seriousness though any other manager would probably have got to this stage as well. First season was a write off in the league due to points deductions and next two seasons he got us promoted.

I think any other manager would have been in the same position. What I would say is the backing from the stands would have been far reduced had Ally McCoist not been a previous club legend (tu)

  5. Alexander is contractually entitled to the money and £84,000 isn't worth walking away from even for a professional footballer.

The difference between him and Ally? Neil Alexander never professed to be the big Rangers man.

If Ally chooses to retain the money I'll agree he was contractually entitled to it as well but it will certainly mean he can't claim to be all about the Rangers (tu)

  6. smith should never have been allowed to"recommend" McCoist oe anyone else in the first place. He bears a lot of responsibility for this shit.

I agree Ally needs to go but blaming Walter for this shit? A lot of the shit we're in now has nothing to do with Ally or football or Walter.

If the whole Whyte debacle, administration and the like not happened then Ally would have managed us for a max of two seasons in the top flight presuming he'd not won the league in either of those seasons. If he hadn't he would have been sacked.

There's a lot of ifs and buts in this hypothetical scenario's but neither Ally's management or Walter's recommendation have led us to being in the Championship behind Hearts (tu)
