Sums up how most of us feel about this character and the situation in general.
I think every Rangers fan wants back to normality, people just differ on how that can happen.

Being vigilant and wary is one thing, we all are that, being liars and truth benders in a bid to destabilize the club is exactly what the taigs and mhedia have been trying to do.
That's the point that I'm trying to get across here, just because I don't trust some of the current board doesn't mean I'm doing damage to the club.

You do realise the most impartial trust member I've seen post on here, Lisburnrangers has said he believed them at the meeting the other night? I'm sure he had said he wasn't keen on them but believed what they said and felt more comfortable with them.

Sounds like people prefer Mather to a large group of fans from there own club, strange one.
The jury is still firmly out on Mather. That's not to say he can't remain on the board long term, but I am very wary of him.

I think the general feeling is:
Mather - The board getting King means they are 'winning'
King - says he has his own private thoughts on the board changes(he wants PM and co on the board).
That's how they differ.

Here is my opinion.
I support Rangers Football Club, I don't support factions but I aint to keen on divisive elements who are disrupting the club.
It costs money to control a football club, If they want to control Rangers then they can dig deep.
I will continue to purchase my season tickets and merchandise and financially support the club.
I will leave the boardroom battles to the money men and let them fight it out.
My shareholding won't make much of a difference but I probably have more than PM
I have a very similar opinion to that of yours.
Funny when people actually state their views instead of daft myths about cross forum conspiracys, most fans probably don't have much to argue about.

It seems to have come down to an all or nothing, no compromise situation now though. And yes I accept both sides could maybe take some blame for that but none of us know absolutely all the facts.
In the main, the normal fan just needs to wait and see who wins.

Not at all mate, I've said already we should be asking questions of any new board members.
I just feel that I can trust the prospective board members more than the current ones.

Thing is I don't believe the current board is perfect or shouldn't be questioned, I still wouldn't mind Stockbridge being replaced.
But I can't agree that every single board member has to be cleared out, in particular I don't think Mather deserves to lose his job. The accounts didn't paint as bad a picture as was/is being speculated either so I also can't go along at all with the idea that the club's future is somehow under threat if we don't get total immediate change.
I think alternatives matter as well and i'm not impressed by what the alternatives seem to be.
I couldn't tell you for certain that:
The current board are ALL in it to make a quick buck or that McColl and co are ALL in it for Rangers but I know who I would choose if it was one or the other.
I agree and have said already, I think Mather could remain.

If PM has the tools to do the job he should be welcomed if elected, his fans have a golden opportunity to exhibit his glowing credentials here on this thread to help convince doubters, as yet none of Paul's fans have risen to the challenge.
I can't speak for everyone but I will state my opinion again.
It's not about getting the best businessmen in the world for me, it's about getting people on the board who we can remotely trust.
For me, that's Jim McColl and co.

Haha, my apologies, twice I've read that as ACCOUNTANTS rather than ACCOUNTS.
Haven't even set eyes on this forum until recently as I heard, and couldn't believe, people think we should remain with the current board.
