  1. i was talking to a few folk in Valencia and the general concensus is that Bursa is a non event

the journey from Istanbul is apparantly a nightmare and theres nothing except the charter flights going direct to Bursa

  2. looking to treat myself to a new TV, it would be for my bedroom

looking at something 37"-42" and something reasonably priced

doesnt need to have DVD or Freeview as i will have sky on it anyway

    any suggestions guys?

  3. well the attendance wasnt bad by Killie standards, the last round v Hibs the attendance was 4074 and the Killie v Celtic game at Rugby Park in the league on Sept 19th was 8,645. Tonight we managed 7,561

1084 less fans for a midweek CIS Cup game is actually no bad whatsoever

p.s i was there freezing my baws off in the Chadwick

  4. the words of Ex Premiership Referee Vic Callow

Do you have to declare who you support when you become a referee?

You don't have to declare who you support as a referee. I don't know what it is now, but when you're at the top level, on the data sheet or information sheet you have to fill in, you have to say if you were ever employed by a club or played for a club. But they never asked which football team you supported.

  5. apart from that, given Rangers and Celtics much larger fan base they would naturally have more followers than most other clubs in Scotland

given refs are football men as well, id imagine 90% of football fans in the West of Scotland support either of the Old Firm, carry that over into refereeing im sure theres quite a few more professional refs in Scotland who grew up as Rangers/Celtic fans

  6. i refereed at boys club and amateur levels for 9 months or so now so my 10 week course is very much still fresh in my mind

there is not such a thing as a FIFA law regarding a referee taking charge of a team he supports, in most cases the refs dont even have to declare

professional refs fill in a form declaring that they have never played for nor been an employee of football teams but they dont need to declare their allegiance

Collum is/was a celtic fan but if he was to blatently cheat then he would be struck off. put it this way, apparantly.... even some of his pals at training nights refer to him as "Father Collum"

  7. as of right now Man City already have numerous wingers in their squad and barring any massive injury crisis Weiss will be surplus to requirements again next season (Johnston, Wright-Phillips, Silva, Milner)

i can only hope another years loans a possibilty cause theres no way we can afford him

  8. Meaning?

    money talks

when the bigger teams start calling, Spurs wont be able to hold on to him

especially dependant on any European Qualification this year

i honestly dont see Spurs in Champs League next season and with the talent Bale has you could comfortably see him at Barca or Real with Alves or Ramos on the opposite flank
