Ashley fits the bill for what we need 100%. It honestly baffles me that people would rather have King.
He gets stick from Newcastle fans because they overestimate the size of their club. They are huge in their city but small-mediocre in the rest of the world. They seem to have a sense of entitlement based on one failed title challenge. Difference between us and them is for us to get to where we want to be it wouldn't take hundreds of millions. For Newcastle to break into the top 5 or even 6 of England it would.
Ashley is an outstanding business man. I believe he is the best option for a strongest possible Rangers.

Another one of they players where you just wish we got him a few years earlier than when we did. Had a touch of class about him I felt we missed since Cuellar. Goainegra was an immense partnership for the first half of the season. Both fell away a little second half.

Why the fuck would we insist on a release clause on his contract???
gives us a bit of leverage if someone comes in for him. very few players will go for over 4 million in Scotland again. a clause of about 4 or 5 will more than likely prevent teams making offers to try and take him for about 2 .... this is assuming he's a 4 million player a few years down the line obviously.

Gallagher and McKay aren't far off of where Macleod was at when he first got his shot. Probably at the same level / better than Aird up until this season as well. We'd have very decent options in attack/creative midfield if we gave all 4 appropriate opportunity as opposed to just Macleod.
Can't really speak for Gaspa, Stoney, Murdoch etc as I haven't seen them. A few seem to have some plaudits on here though.

Forshaws a great player. Diame is premier league quality. Surely Lewis is staying put. Unless someone else moves for him.
