Display was great but using paper rather than polythene for supporters to hold up was a mistake.

Belting the Progres keeper with paper balls, while funny, isn't brilliant especially when the referee stops the game to get them cleared, this'll be in his match report.

If UBs used polythene, it will still have the same impact but they can't be thrown

Everyone knows that at the core of the Union Bears values is their eco friendly ethos. Whilst Polythene does Biodegrade naturally, it's a very slow process. It is believed that it would take between 400-1000 years for a sheet of polythene to break down.

I have heard the Union Bears argue though that whilst paper does degrade quicker, there is possibly a larger environmental impact. One member reckoned that if you had the same volume of plastic sheets and paper sheets - the paper would take up 7 times more space. So a lot more lorries are needed on the road to transport it - not to mention the trees that need to be cut down to make it in the first place.

It's a minefield really. I do agree that polythene is less aerodynamic than paper and less likely to cause issues - I am led to believe the Union Bears are moving away from both materials and are actually looking at paper made from hemp fibres which is a step in the right direction.

  2. Same folk that held up the game throwing paper balls would have been booing their players holding up the game going down injured. Just stupid.

Continuing to throw them when every other stand is booing and Kenny Miller is asking you to stop is just arsehole behaviour.

  3. Dalcio - Looked direct and keen to go at defenders, had the right ideas but his execution wasn't the best. Didn't really beat his first man on several attempts.

Jack - Impressed by his performance, didn't really put a foot wrong. Won't be the most exciting of players to watch but just does his job and does it effectively.

Cardoso - Looked comfortable on the ball and good in the air. Early signs look like we've picked up a good player to shore up the frailties at the back.

Candeias - Really quick and full of energy. Happy to close down defenders as well as go direct against them. Didn't get on the ball as much as I would have liked but still too early to really form an opinion on him.

Morelos - Didn't really have enough time to show much of what he can do, he does look very strong though when holding off defenders.

  4. Maybe they're bringing back Roxi and Boris?

Always felt for Broxi, he had it all until they left him. Still does his job with a smile and full of enthusiasm but you can tell he's hurting inside.

Hopefully him and Roxi have kissed and made up for wee Boris' sake.

I missed getting a ticket coz of that fucking shambles of a website. Wouldn't let me log in with all my correct details. Managed to get one off a pal though so not too bothered. Bit shit if anyone misses out coz of that website though.

I had the same issue, had to set up a new account by changing my date of birth and adding my middle name.

So he is unhappy in the final third but still plays Waghorn ? Why not start with Morales and bring numbnuts on? Or try Hardie and bring him on ...he already knows what Waghorn can do (we all do) so what is he gaining?

This is obviously his starting team for next week and it should be fine....but a big crowd and Waghorns bottle are never a good combination.

I'd like to think maybe there was scouts watching and Waghorn was in the shop window rather than he's still in Pedro's plans . Here's hoping anyway!
