  1. Thank you for this RFC!

Tried my free spins on roulette, didn't get past about 30 quid and then lost what I did have. Had a little look at the other promotions and tried the 10 free spins on the spiderman game, decided it was shite. Thought I would try my luck anyway and use the promo where you deposit £10 and get £20 free to play on the spidey game....just withdrawn £200! :D

All this and I didn't realise that I had a betfair account

    Ta muchly :D

  2. I've got this wee beauty however mine is pink!

Gorgeous laptop that runs like a dream - at that price i'd say it's a bargain! I bought it for the full price in october :(

It's blu-ray and although it doesn't say in the description, you also get a built-in webcam and bluetooth :)

This one is the Studio 17...basically the same just with a 17" screen. However you do get a smaller hard drive and memory.

  3. Yay! I sorted it!

Found that shift + R inproved my image quality, but had to do that everytime I opened a new browser window

    Eventually made it here: http://www.3g.co.uk/3GForum/showthread.php?t=73631

Where I found that using a web accelerator might help...downloaded the one from the T-mobile website (I'm using T-Mobile Web n Walk Mobile Broadband) adjusted the settings on the accelerator and bob's yer uncle! Crystal clear images :D

    Thanks for you help peeps.

Especially you Speuan...you helped a lot (tu)

  4. I've also already done a system restore :( My laptop was fine when i was using it last night. I downloaded nothing last night, no updates were installed...it shut down normally and hasn't been used today until I got home from work...then this :(

  5. I came across this exact same problem with my brand new Dell Latitude D830 laptop. It was not only IE that had problems with the pixelization (sp?), but also icons on the desktop and in the system tray. Also problems with the shutdown screen.

Also notepad did not look right. It was driving me nuts!! Arrrr!!!

I was about to either reinstall video drivers or even Windows XP (i knew calling Dell would be useless).

    But I found the problem!!

my lcd has a native resolution of 1680x1050 (which the video card was giving it). the problem was with the "DPI setting". The "Normal size" is 96 DPI, the "Large size" is 120 DPI. To make everything "look bigger" on the nice high resolution lcd, Dell decided to change the DPI to 120. It made all the graphics/icons/text/etc. just a hair bigger, hence distorting them and making them look grainy and pixely.

The DPI setting can be found on the "General" tab of your video adapter settings.

(Display Properties -> Settings tab -> Advanced button).

Tried that, mine is already on 96 :(

  6. When I switched on my laptop today and went on the internet I noticed that images have become pixelated.

    I have a Dell Studio 15 and I'm running Vista and IE7.

    I tried this solution:

    http://www.zieak.com/2007/01/16/internet-e...d-images-in-xp/

Did not work as I have no 'UserHR' on my registry. Even adding my own didn't work!

I downloaded firefox to see if it was just a problem with IE but it's also happening in firefox!

Someone please offer me a solution, it's driving me mental :(

  7. Is it just pictures from your phone that do this?

Or do ones off your digital camera do the same?

Right click a picture, click OPEN WITH > LIVE PHOTO GALLERY

See how they appear in that :)

If they appear ok, tick the box that says "Always use this program to open this file type"

They still appear all crappy :(

My digital camera wouldn't even work when I plugged it into my laptop  not with my card in anyway, apparently it doesnt support that file type <cr> <_<

Without the card though, It works fine, can see my pics great :)

My phone has a memory card in it as well, and that's where I'm trying to take my pics from....maybe my laptop just doesn't like memory cards?

Maybe so, although it should.. hmm, i think i remember having a mate with a similar problem.

I'll search around try to find out whats going on, it'll be something to do with drivers, or jpeg compression im sure :P

    Awww thanks McBoyd!

    You're a wee angel :)

  9. I've also just found that the pics copy fine straight from my phone to my photobucket....maybe there's a problem with my windows gallery?

I'll take a pic or two on my digital camera and see if I have the same problem with that.

  10. I wanted to get some pictures onto my laptop from my phone, this is the first time I've tried it on my new laptop but didn't think there'd be a problem. My pics are showing up like this though:

    picprob.png

Anyone got any idea what I can do so I can see them normally?

FYI - the pics can be seen fine in slideshow mode...but just not any other way :(

I've tried copying them from my phone to my laptop also, but they copy as they look above!

    Help much appreciated :)
