Didn’t look like it anyway but that’s the way darts goes. You can’t miss the doubles agains the top players or the chance doesn’t come round again. A bit of nerves but he’ll learn from it.

Wonderful! A fitting stage on which to end an amazing career. I’m delighted to see that. A born winner, great competitor and a fantastic sportsman.

I think if Taylor gets there and dominates the first couple of sets, that may well happen. MVG is a confidence player and if he gets on a roll, is very difficult to stop.

Got to think that MVG would cruise past either of these if they played at this level.

Could be a significant leg there. 3-1 instead of 2-2.

I don’t know. Both fantastic players and it would be down to the width of the wire who won. Both at their best, I could see it being 50/50 over a series of matches. I hope Taylor gets through here as, win or lose, being in the final would be a fitting end to an amazing career.

Taylor probably the best ever. Bristow wasn’t well liked at his peak. Seems to be the way with people who overshadow a sport. Anderson seems to have lost his nerve a bit. Taylor has played better and lost but isn’t being threatened here yet.
