As someone who was present at this discussion Id like to say first of all I cant honestly beleive the amount of abuse BallochBear has taken over this. If you read his posts he is open and honest as to the purpose of the discussion. Some of the vitriol spewed out on this thread is incredible. All he was trying to do was paint Rangers fans in a light other than the one which GS is so fond of painting us. No amount of clever editing can make an intelligent and fair man seem like anything other than that.
As to the above point. BB called Speirs on this and it was agreed that the term was "lapsed fan".
By his own admission Spiers can no longer be called a fan because of the conflict on interests with his job. He claims to have went to games as a boy with his dad and I for one beleive him.
And before anyone jumps down my throat I am fully aware of Speirs' past and the reason a lot of you hate him. What I cant understand is how you seem to be transferring this onto BB who is nothing more than a Rangers fan trying to do his best for the image of the club.
