  1. I think he doesn't tend to get praised as much as others, even when he has a good game. He's still learning his trade, has scored some important goals for us and I have confidence in him to become a good player for us for years to come. He has the confidence to make it here, he just needs a run of games with a good partner up front (Miller, preferably) in my opinion.

With us being linked with a couple of strikers recently, I can't help but feel he'll be played out wide, yet again.

Personally,I still think wide left is his best position. (tu)

  2. The way I can work it out,you guy's will be able to watch/listen to the Blackburn game at 6am.sunday morning,if this is right

    I should be able to watch/listen to it tonight(Saturday) at 11 pm Edmonton time.Am I right? unsure.gif

I am on the east coast of the States so it's 1 am for me, if you are two hours being the east coast 11 pm would be correct.

How will you be watching it? Have you found a decent site?

  3. For me,easily the biggest mistake so far (in our present melt down) is not tying Nacho up for the two years he wanted. :(

Walter says we need a wide man,and a striker.Well the names we have heard banded around the last few weeks, who might fill these

positions, are inferior to Nacho, who could easily have covered both positions.Go figure! <cr>

  4. Whittaker has to stay at RB (tu)

Bougherra would be my first choice there DB.I don't want to take Whittaker out the team,so let's play him in front of Bougherra

for a few games at least, and see how it works.I wouldn't be upset if Walter stuck this line-up on the field,to start the season.

    McGregor

    Bougherra Webster Weir Papac

    Whittaker Davis McCulloch laffery

    Fleck

    Miller

Let me get this right, you want us to field 4 players out of position?

We need to get out of this obsession of shoehorning players into positions, that starting 11 would be so lopsided it wouldn't even be funny.

Four players out of position DB? I honestly don't see anyone out of position in that line-up.I can see a couple players maybe

complain, that they are playing out of position(Bougherra, and Lafferty) But in all honesty I would disagree with them.

Bougherra would be a revelation at right back, and Lafferty (whether he likes it or not)is a better player coming in from the left.

Well you have a midfield with one player in there correct position in Davis, the rest is all just shoehorned in there. That midfield would be all over the place.

Bougherra ain't a right back, and Webster and Weir would be the slowest / deepest defensive line in the game.

One, Davis? you jest. In case you missed it McCulloch was probably the best at his position in the SPL last season.
