  1. Could there be any chance of us getting Micheal Owen? Why not see if we could loan him? Or if he was free/cheap a pay per play deal with CL starts if fit thrown into the deal? I know it will get shot down but if Sunderland can loan Cisse for a season then surely we could get some quality in who has something to prove? With CL games to show what yer made of.

:craphead: Yes, definetly. Owens never hidden his desire to play in the SPL.

  2. I've played WaW and found the online play just not as good as COD4.

Also, i am Lv 50 ... woo hoo (yeah, still a lowly n00b to some but :P)

If anyone wants to add me, i'm on PSN - Acemcl

Didn't know you were from Castlemilk as well :craphead:

  3. Alan Signs On

ALAN LOWING has signed a new six-month extension at Ibrox but four youngsters have been released from Murray Park.

Lowing spent most of last season on loan at Clyde and will now have until January to earn a long-term deal and push his way in to Walter Smith's first team plans.

The 21-year-old right-back, from Rutherglen, joined Rangers in July 2004 from Castleglen Boys Club and made his top-team debut on September 20, 2005 against the Bully Wee in a League Cup clash.

His first SPL appearance came on October 1, 2005 against Dunfermline and he also featured in Europe against Partizan Belgrade at Ibrox on December 14, 2006.

Injuries have halted Alan's progress on more than one occasion but he will now be desperate to make up for lost time and challenge Steven Whittaker for the right-back slot.

Meanwhile Willie McLachlan, Ross Harvey, Chris Craig and Lithuanian keeper Artur Vaiculis have all left Gers as the youth department starts to prepare for the 2009/10 season.

  4. League every time-although i attend all the european away ties they are a bonus with no realistic chance of winning a european trophy as 1 european final in 36 years will testify. Before anyone says we could have won it in Manchester i believe that is the only european final i will see in my lifetime and i'm 43.

I say this not through lack of ambition but realism especially in the financial climate we work in.

    We will be back :craphead:

All of these (insert country here) billionaires taking over the club soon.

  5. If i was Pep Guardiola with license to sign anyone in the world heres what i would do

Sign a midfielder, a sort of sitting midfielder to replace Yaya, but play Yaya at Cb because he looked brilliant there the other night

Darren Fletcher would be perfect for Barcelona, but i really couldnt see that happening...Someone like Essien just to sit play it simple and break up attacks.

Sell Eto'o for a few bob and bring in David Villa

    And you're left with

    Valdes

    Alves

    Yaya

    Pique/Marquez

    Abidal

    Xavi

    ---

    Iniesta

    Messi

    Villa

    Henry

The defensive midfield role is key for Barca as they have 2 attack minded midfielders in Xavi and Iniesta, Xavi could be the DM and they could sign Fabregas, but why deprive Xavi of doing what he does best? Yaya does it perfect but i think they could find someone to do even better, with big Yaya playing CB..I left Puyol out because he's so incredibly dodgy

I admire Barca so much, i think they have the potential to become even more of a force...just need to find one quality DM..Any suggestion on who?

    Dailly.

  6. Celtic;

Resign Bobo Balde on his current wage deal.

Nip in ahead of PSV and resecure Vennegoor

Tie Donati down to a longterm contract.

Sign more players for 50k from Derry City

Rab Douglass, adding more cover for Zaluska

LB - Convince Darren O'dea he can play football, and shove him there.

Coax Roy Keane out of retirement, or play him in a player/coaching role.e

Sign Shay Given from Man City for 20Mil, if the Douglass deal doesn't go through.

All in all that should give them a strong team to challenge Hearts for 2nd next season.

  7. Hullo hullo we are the billy boys

As I ask everyone that comes up with a (useless) new version:

    - do you know who the 'billy boys' were?

    - why do you want to sing about them?

    - would it not be better to sing about 'Rangers boys'?

    Incoming

If anybody asks who they are, they owned a shop down Govan way. Keep it that way.
