  1. Last week we gave away 7 pairs of gift vouchers for the Founders Trail & Ibrox Stadium Tour to say thank you to people who have supported us in the past. This week we’re going one step further. We’d like to offer free concession* seats (normal price £16) on our next tour on Sunday 9th October. *concession = children under 16 and adults over 65. To qualify for this offer you must have at least one full paying adult in your group. Adult seats - £22 To book your seat email thegallantpioneers@gmail.com
  2. Since the first Founders Trail seven years ago we have gradually built a close relationship with Rangers Football Club. Working with the Club has been a huge part of our success. The current Board of Directors recognise the importance of celebrating the history of our great Club and they are keen to help promote the incredible story of the four boys who formed Rangers and the others who nurtured it. We are thankful for their support. In turn, we want to continue to celebrate our history and to promote the Club in any way we can. The Founders Trail is completely self-funding. The bus hire, the literature you receive when you take the tour and the continued research is only possible because of the incredible backing we have received from you, the Rangers Support. The demand for the tours is continuing to grow and we thank you for letting us share the history of Rangers with you. When you purchase a seat on the Founders Trail bus or purchase merchandise, you not only give us the opportunity to tell the Rangers story, you also help to put funds back into the Club. Your money goes towards the purchase of: Match day tickets (used as raffle prizes) Argyle House Restaurant vouchers (used as raffle prizes) Ibrox Stadium Tours Rangers Lottery Youth Members Club Auchenhowie Brick Donations to the Rangers Youth Development Company Club1872 Membership The Founders Trail and Ibrox Stadium Tour is very proud to run in association with Rangers Football Club and Rangers Youth Development Company. We include adverts for the Rangers Youth Development Company in our tour literature to help highlight the ways the fans can contribute to the success of our youth teams. The close working relationship we have with the Club has also allowed us to begin using the Parks of Hamilton coaches for the tours. Argyle House Restaurant kindly let us offer our passengers a 10% discount on any meal. And the media team at Rangers are very keen to help spread the word of our Founders. They have highlighted our upcoming tour dates and published blogs from the Founders Trail team on the official club website, as well as on other social media platforms. We hope this productive relationship continues to grow in the years to come. If you would like to join us on the Founders Trail & Ibrox Stadium Tour, we currently have seats available on the following dates: Sunday 9th October Sunday 20th November To book your seat just send an email to thegallantpioneers@googlemail.com or call 07902 2855536. Adults - £22 Senior Citizens & children under 16 - £16
  3. Glad to see you're focussing on the main point of my post. I've always been taught that respect has to be earned.
  4. Why would I want or need to prove anything? The point was no individual or group should need recognition for something that was paid for by a large number of fans from different forums/groups. The plaque at Fleshers Haugh was organised by one group but on the Founders Trail people are told it was paid for by Rangers fans and it's those fans who deserve the recognition.
  5. Don't believe everything you read, especially when it concerns the Vanguard Bears. The thousands of Rangers fans (most of which are posters on this forum) who donated money to pay for the headstone at McBeath's grave are given plenty of recognition on the Founders Trail. You should go along and see for yourself instead of being influenced by what you read on here.
  6. Do you want me to email you instead Moonlighter? Still not showing mate, personally when I think about Rangers first - I would say our club page should be the first to click, followed by RangersPedia /Rangers History and then any forum page...but that's just me. From my professional & business perspective, when we look at our brand, it's always the most commercially viable links that are made, the most prominent, and accessible. Yes it is and has been for a few days. http://www.thegallantpioneers.co.uk/RangersMedia---Rangers-Football-Club-SiteLatest-News.html could we get the VanguardBears website put up and thats all the fans websites covered You'd have to ask the people involved with the site.

  8. Do you find it odd that the guys behind the Founders Trail refuse to discuss William McBeath's gravestone and refused an invite to the ceremony organised by VB? I don't know anything about any invites or their reasons so I wouldn't like to comment on it.
  9. The Founders Trail is also a sticky on www.dothebouncy.com so what's your point? Are they in on it too? Are they profiteering? The fact that the guys behind the Founders Trail mainly post on FF is used as a stick to beat them with. People have been told that MD is not involved and they have been told where the money goes. If some people are still not happy then so be it. This whole thing is getting rather tedious.
  10. Correct. Nothing about "locating the final resting place of William McBeath". The key word and bone of contention was the "gravestone". The FF sponsored Founders team won't even discuss the gravestone and FF won't even allow posts about it on their board. Very odd for people demanding the "celebration of the Founders", I'm sure you'll agree. In what way are they sponsored by FF? And as far as I know, no one involved in the Founders Trails have any control over what is or isn't allowed to be posted on FF.
  11. Who said anything about "locating the final resting place of William McBeath"? The quotation marks are direct from conversations I had with a current FF admin (one of the originals too from back in the old Rivals board days). I have no reason to question his integrity. Likewise I was told directly about lebluebear's comments to Red White and Ajax. It was posted about on here many months ago too. You said they were "beaten to the gravestone" when commenting on the Vanguard Bears efforts as if they had got there first.
  12. The Founders don't belong to these guys yet they appear want to monopolise it for themselves. They want support for their scheme yet snub the philanthropy of VB where William McBeath was concerned. I'm led to believe that they were "hopping mad" at Follow Follow towers about being "beaten to the gravestone". The persistant tin rattling and posts selling their wares is interesting. It's the usual Dingwall stuff, give me your money but don't talk back or ask any questions and if you dare go into competition with me I'll crush you. It is also saddening to say that when poster Red white and Ajax suggested on FF in the event of a league win that Heather Lang (grand-daughter of Peter McNeil) be invited to unfurl the flag he was told by lebluebear the "club can chase themselves, it was us that found her, we're not going to give them her contact details." Such pathetic little men. Correct me if I'm wrong but was it not Gary Ralston who located the final resting place of William McBeath? And I believe the issue that some people had about Peter McNeil's grand-daughters was the fact they had been snubbed by the Club at the last Hall of Fame dinner (when McNeil was inducted). There was doubt as to whether the Club would bother inviting them to unfurl the flag. Also, quotation marks are usually used when actually quoting something a person has said, not something made up in your head.
  13. So you've pointed out a few times on here and on FF. No one puts a gun to their head to do it.
