  3. Hello Bears, For those of you that attended the pub Bordello's over the days you were in Bucharest, I thought it would be a great idea to have similar style organised bars for Bears to meet up in the city of Valencia. I took it upon myself to organise something for Bucharest as I thought it would give the fans a central meeting point, create a good atmosphere and give us drink promotions in place with food offers. After doing a little research on pubs and bars in Valencia I choose 2 which are located in Canovas district of Valencia. http://www.facebook.com/?sk=events#!/event.php?eid=157709667597125 Description of area Right next to the centre, the buzzing Canovas nightlife is the mainstream weekend hub of Valencia, with a multitude of pubs, bars and nightlcubs. Canovas is the vibrant mainstream nightlife hub of Valencia. That is to say it is preferred by people who are not after the alternative or uderground, who, after a week in the office, want to pass a noisy weekend in "normal pop" and surrounded by a general Valencian crowd dressed for the weekend nigthlfie. For the lack of left-right conflict you sometimes find in Carmen, Canovas nightlife is devoid of much pretention. It is a very lively, flamboyant area where Valencian nightlife breathes strong and easy, generally not taking itself too seriously (with the exception of a few places) and placing mainstream music where it is meant to be - as the background to having fun, getting drunk, mating and communicating. This makes Canovas one of the friendlest and easy-going places to go out in Valencia. The first pub I contacted was Portland Ale house owned by an American guy called Mike who when I called was very keen and accomodationg for what I'd asked for. www.portlandalehouse.com (American Micro-Brewery pub) He has offered the following Use of the bar's music system screens for sports events on TV Beer for Pint Estella damm 2.50 euros artisan beer 3.00 euros Normal spirits with mixer or juice 5.00 euros vodka, whiskey, gin, rum. alcohol in each mixed drink. Soft drinks include coke, coke light, fanta orange, fanta lemon red bull .50 cents extra Shots/chupitos mixed 1.00; straight shots like tequila or Jagger 2.00 euros They will do some free shots for different tables as the night goes on. Capacity is 130 in the pub for special events such as this. 25 to 35 seating area outside. Food menu promos: 5.00 euros BLT bacon, lettuce, tomato with Chips Stormin Norman: Grilled ham, lettuce, tomato with Chips Nachos: refried beans, beef, guacamole, cheese, sour cream chicken quesadilla Pizza bread This bar is approx a 10 - 15 min walk to Stadium Mestalla and only 3-4 euros in a cab. There is another pub just along the road called Gordons who are also willing to accomodate us and are offering the following www.gordon10.com They brew their own beer! Lots of Belgian and speciality beers! Full use of pub and their music system The price of the lager beer 2.5 euros Litre of beer - 5 euros Spirits with mixers - 5 euros. Sft drinks - 2 euros Onion rings: 3.80 euros Hamburguers: 3.50 euros Sandwiches: 3.50 euros Potatoes with sauces: 7 euros serves 3 Will post any more info maps etc as I get it. Hope this works as well as Bordello's.
  4. Transport info below Following on from Valencia meet up I have been talking to a work colleague who is originally from Istanbul. I am traveling with him and 1 other to Istanbul and we were trying to get our arrangements sorted. After some enquirires we have come up with the following. Meet up point in Istanbul is a large bar called Ekvator in Taksim square very central point. http://www.ekvatorcafe.com/ This a a high quaity bar with 15 LCD screens. We have been in touch with owner and they will run promotions for us on drinks now confirmed as below After time he agreed to drop his prices he originally just wanted to offer his happy hour prices for the day however prices still seemed to high. Owner agreed at the following Bottle of Large Efes - 4 TL Becks , Fosters Bottles - 5 TL 50CL Efes - 4 TL 70CL Efes - 5 TL Vodka/Whisky/Gin/Bacardi/Rum with mixer (pepsi/lemonade etc) - 6 TL - Free Pour Standard whisky shots - 7 TL - Free pour Mojito- 10 TL Coke and fruit juice - 3 TL 5 tekila shots - 17 TL FOOD Classic Burger - 11 TL Old Timer Cheese Burger - 12 TL Hotdog - 10 TL French Fries - 5 TL The Monday night should hopefully be rocking! On the Tuesday morning 9.30am we have organized a 50 seater PARTY bus with some beers included which will take us to our next party venue in Bursa approx 3 hr 15mins away. The bus journey will be as follows a 30 min drive to ferry terminal followed by 40 minutes on Ferry which you will be allowed out and when we hit land again we will have a further 1 hr 30 mins to Bursa. The bus is booked with a deposit pais so I will be looking for payment 2nd week in November. We will arrive at a larger venue called KAT 3 BURSA SUARE in Bursa a large bar venue which takes up to 2000 people. The idea behind this is to find a venue big which will give us a chance to meet in numbers. The safety element of it is good too as we are just outside the city. It has a few bars and is a larger style arena with different rooms. He has agreed to open at 11am on day of the game which is great news for us and there will be a 7 Turkish Lira charge at Door (£3) which will get you re-entry after the match for bears staying in Bursa. The venue itself is a 10 min drive from Stadium and it's the largest of it's kind in Bursa easy to get to by a taxi. Have got the owner to get us a DJ for the day who will spin our tunes on their huge sound system and he will put on a Beer promo. They will also do food for us Sandwichs, burgers, and hot dogs etc If there are any other buses coming into Bursa there is plenty parking space for these. The bus will then move on to Stadium in Bursa Ataturk Stadium in plenty time for the big match and return us all after back to Ekvator bar in Istanbul Taksim Sqaure. Bears interested in Bus please pm me for info. PM me if interested.

These bars are not a long walk to Mestalla so if you are going to be based in Benidorm make your way to the Canovas district on the day of the match not far from the city center. Spoke with one of the bar owners and he has told me it was 26 degrees today and the weather should be decent and possibly still warm early Novemeber which is nice. Will update any more relevant info as I have it. Map of where Porland Ale house microbrewery is located http://www.portlandalehouse.com/PAH/Directions.html

  13. Havegot 155 confirmed people coming in on match day guys. If you are coming be there early!
  14. Not the manager just thought it would be good to promote a decent boozer for a meet up point. Drinks are cheap also. What's the hookers like in that area? Nice looking? Cheap? No idea mate! I am sure you have already done you research.
  15. Not the manager just thought it would be good to promote a decent boozer for a meet up point. Drinks are cheap also.
  16. Have been in contact with the pub management and they are looking forward to welcoming The Rangers fans on the day of the game. The pub opens at 10am and closes around 2am extension can be arranged They do Tuborg and Carslberg on draught pint will cost around 1.50 euro trying to negotiate that price down. The venue itself will hold approx 170 so If we have enough bears up for this we will create a great atmosphere. They will let us play our tunes too which is an added bonus. Anyone got any good cd's? Pub is very central and very close to the Hilton. There is a map on the site link below. I am looking to see what kind of numbers to expect so if anyone is seriously interested in this please PM me. Am I seeing things in that pic? http://www.bordellos.ro/
