I'm going to the Livi SD tomorrow to get another pair of Samba. Got my last pair out of it about 3 years ago. Might get a few pairs of decent thick work socks as well, if they got any. If you think I should buy from somewhere more expensive, then please pay the difference and I will be happy to. Like King, I don't have the money either.

    £7 cheaper on mandm direct:

Get yourself some free work socks with the difference.

  2. I have a 3570k in an old rig and it can easy run 4.4Ghz with a decent air cooler, it is easily fast enough to run any current AAA game at a decent res if paired with a high end gpu. I'd be looking at 8Gb of 1333mhz ddr3, paired with your choice of mobo all should run well together.

  3. I prefer a nice open air cooled case, less faffing about, less noisy(pumps tend to be noisier than fans) & cool damn near just as well.

I knocked up a new gaming rig over the weekend, those brown and beige noctua fans run as quiet as a mouse & the fans on the GPU(zotac 1070 amp extreme) only run up under heavy load while gaming, the 2x 140mm fractal fans on the front are fine for now but will probably be swapped out for some noctua PWM`s in the future to knock a decibel or two off the noise generated at the front .

The PSU is a fanless Seasonic platinum & the SSD`s are fitted on the otherside of the motherboard backplate. The case is a Fractal Designs Define S & still has space for 1 more 140mm fan on the front(or replace all 3 front fans with a 360mm rad for water cooling), 1x 140mm on the bottom next to the PSU and 3 across the top, which again can also be used for a 360mm rad.

I`ve dabbled in water AIO systems twice in in the past but found good air flow coupled with high quality fans are hard to beat for value, so my advice is unless your desperate to push your components to the absolute limit or it`s purely for `incase` aesthetics then i`d steer clear. :)

You don't do irony eh no?

Listen, many of us only backed Dave King because he was the only alternative to the shower of shite that were running the club into the ground before, he was the better option that much is undeniable. Now if you and smile can offer a better alternative to King then I'm all ears, but all I ever see is moaning and groaning with absolutely no reasonable alternative ever offered, if you have something positive to add then fine. If not you are just howling at the moon, as usual.

The problem isnt Barton/Rossiter its the whole team!

I lost count of the times we tried to play a long pass from the CB's through for the striker, it was predictable and not effective at all.

When Ball played at CDM against Celtic it worked, even though he wasnt great on the ball, because we had Holt and Halliday and the rest of the attack pressing and then moving when we had the ball. Its static at the moment, only Forrester looked lively in both aspects, then Niko when he came on but we look so slow and as if we have lost all of our drive/pace/movement.

I would play Barton at the sole CDM and let the other CM's bomb forward and press, I actually think Rossiter could play both roles, but I dont think Barton has the pace or the legs to play as one of the CM's.

It isn't just the players fault, it`s the manager that`s picking them. A lot comes down to the lack of preseason though, hopefully it gets sorted & quick!

  6. These cunt`s have no shame, I watched the game live and it sounded as if the crowd were under water for the vast majority of the game. No way I could tell who was singing what, if it wasnt someone at the game making the complaint then they should be told to go fuck themselves.

You would like to think people are getting arrested for more than just singing a song but I know a young lad who was arrested for just that. He was arrested during a game at Ibrox, randomly plucked out of the crowd who were also singing, spent the weekend in jail and appeared in court on the Monday and has to return not knowing if he will have to spend time in prison or whether he will be kicked out of his apprenticeship all for singing a song at a football match.

Shocking mate, yet up and down the country there`s violent offenders(and worse) getting a slap on the wrist. Our legal system has lost all sense of perspective, fuckin SNP cesspit.

Still got your tongue up Kings arse! ?

Couldn't possibly comment on that wee Al, at least until I find out what your Lundy mate Young Will has to say about it first. :hanged:

Seeing as you have been his chief bugle blower  maybe you could post up his blog? Bet you'll have missed blowing his quilled tip  *sad face*

What Rangers hater is he interviewing for his tarrier readership this week? I've heard a rumour it's a cardinal O'Brian & philth mcgillivan double act!

    You'll love that Alphonse.

Most on here will know fine well that I backed Dave King & the 3 bears to take control back from the last incumbents, you trying to use that as an insult says more about you than it does me.

We both know that you'd be far happier with the last lot still raping the arse off our Club if it meant King and co hadn't wrestled control back.

I'd imagine that's why many of us see you post your usual nonsense & simply think 'turd

Do you know Al Capone was tested before his death and found to have the mental ability of a 12 yr old! I always wondered why you chose the name of a fat Fenian, tax dodging cunt for your user name ?

no your are stupid, facts are not. Thats the first time in 24 years that the champions of england were non one of the top spenders , since leeds won it. for the 10 seasons up until 2015 36 times out of 40 the highest wage spenders in England finished in the top 4.

    Theres your facts boy

Perhaps you are happy with winning the league once or twice a decade, I'm not. Have some ambition FFS

    lol your are stupid  :belm:

The thread title is  "You win nothing on the cheap mr king"

Well Leicester did win something on the relative cheap(as did Hibs in Scotland) & that is undeniable fact, the rest of the post is blah, blah blah.

Our teams balance is clearly all over the shop, we are still struggling to find the best players for our formation, our own Andy Halliday takes a fair bit of stick but last year when playing in the holding position that we were so desperate to fill he was doing as good a job in there as either Barton or Rossiter have done in the position this season so far, he was also linking brilliantly with wee Barrie on the left which was helping Wallace to push up the park so much better last year, wee Holt was dropping in to help when needed, as well as linking middle to front much better than we have done this year. They all seemed to know their roles better.

Our midfield is way, way to static now, with Barton and Rossiter playing too deep much of the time & almost stepping on each others toes at times, unless they can adapt there`s only one position available between them that`s for sure.

Get more dynamic players back in the middle of the park( Windass looked the part, hopefully big Crooks will too) and we`ll see an instant improvement in the way we are playing & the results will also improve again.

I can only hope MW is given the time to bed the new guys but it seems only a matter of time till the howls of derision start by the looks of it. We have the players, we just need to figure out the best way to deploy them imo.

For all it`s been disappointing the league isn't won or lost in August & I still genuinely believe that one more decent CH will see us there or thereabouts come the end of the season.

    No Surrender!

  9. The way he challenges for the ball is a joy to watch, snaps in to the tackle with just the right amount of aggression to keep it hard but fair. Covers the yards well & can split the opposition with a pass, hopefully the lad will get better and better!

He`s looks like he love`s us already too, which is never a bad thing :D

Remember when he said i will Front end Warburton all the money to take on the filth when promoted, he will be held accountable for his lies eventually but what damage will have been done to the club by then.

You know you can front load a budget on wages as well as transfer fee`s yeah? Surely the need to be sustainable should be a priority, or have we learned nothing since 2012? Maybe we should change to a McCoist type manager to buy our way out of trouble?

Anyhow, it`s amazing how a thread on the Megastore, sorry Sports Direct Ibrox store changes to become a thread on Dave King when things start getting a bit uncomfortable :D

Smart arse. And yes I'll let you forget whenever King puts his hand in his pocket and actually puts money in like he said he would almost 2 years ago.

You`ll let me forget? or remind me? Sorry difficult to make sense of that.

Did King put his hand in his pocket to get control?

  12. 4 minutes ago, wullyRFC said:

Everyone conveniently forgets that King had the opportunity to get in before MA did but instead wanted control of the club without puttibg money in his pocket.

I`m sure you`ll no let us forget Wully ;)

So did King put money in Ashleys pocket to get control? I don`t really understand why he would have to tbh.

Whenever SD decide to give us it, I'm sure. They'll be desperate to hand us money.

Thank you gm, we will only receive payment(the dividend) from our retail deal when or if Sports Direct choose to make it & some think that we could do worse than that? Hard to believe that would even be possible :belm:

Forget all about the pence in the pound figures that are banded about, all that matters is that we will only ever get paid when fat Mike decides, the trigger for payment is how generous lardass is feeling any particular day. *Don`t hold your breath*

Pretty sure the last dividend was used almost completely to cover the cost of closing the stores(did the Belfast one become a Sports Direct?), we were lucky enough for fat Mike to take over our megastore & it`s staff at the same time, making our Club shop a glorified Sports Direct.

That`s some going right enough... If your Mike Ashley or a Sports Direct shareholder ;)

    Quote

A Guardian analysis of the Rangers accounts last month suggested that the joint venture with Sports Direct, Rangers Retail Ltd, had paid the Scottish Championship team dividends of about £559,000 since the deal came into effect about four years ago. During that time, the Rangers store had taken more than £13m through its tills from fans, while a previous retail deal with JJB Sports saw the club receive an initial payment of £18m, with a guaranteed minimum annual royalty of £3m.

Over the same four-year period, the accounts also suggest that Sports Direct was paid three times Rangers’ dividends, totalling about £1.8m. On top of those payments, it has also earned hundreds of thousands of pounds from the joint venture for providing retailing services. Despite the difference in the amounts received by each party, Rangers owns 51% of Rangers Retail, while Sports Direct holds the remaining 49%.

The agreements between the two also include:

A seven-year notice period to break the contract

A confidentiality agreement that binds Rangers but not Sports Direct

Obligations for Rangers Retail to buy stock at a “higher cost than its retail value”

A clause allowing Sports Direct to force Rangers out of its shareholding in Rangers Retail if the relationship between the club and the retailer is “deadlocked”

A further clause that forced the football club to pay Sports Direct £620,000 for closing down two former Rangers stores in Glasgow and Belfast

Zero upfront payment to Rangers for awarding the retail deal to Sports Direct in 2012

A controlling vote for Sports Direct on “financial matters” concerning Rangers Retail.

Sports Direct could not be contacted to provide comment in time for publication.

Aye,the current board could do worse lol

  14. 2 hours ago, Jimbeamjunior said:

when did i ever say i knew about the deal, tbh i probably know as much as our board do

what i said, and i stand by it, is that i do not have any faith that the current lot could set up a better operation, infact i think the current lot would struggle to organise a piss up in a brewery,

we got a million quid for nothing coming off our worst season in a long time and a full blown boycott, imagine just how much we'd make if we actually decided to simply act like normal fans now and buy what we wanted, yes SD get a big chunk of it as well, but given they actually do all the work all we have to do is simply play well and thats it

    What triggers the dividend payment?

  15. 9 minutes ago, Jimbeamjunior said:

This i have a concern with, what evidence is there that the current board could do better, hell the current board didn't even know that our badges etc were in ashleys hands until the fans found out

Nothing on our current board gives me any confidence that they can make us money,

I'm presuming you know the details of the deal then yeah? Can you explain what triggers our dividend payment from Rangers retail? Ta

I'll be honest with you jbj, I think your in the extreme minority mate ;)
