Even at our best we didn't have a league won this early, or we rarely did; right now we have it all to do. Some of our players have stepped up in terms of giving us goals, but overall our performances haven't been that great, and we don't have any level of consistency going in terms of performances. Way too early to think we are even close for the title.

For all the stick he's been taking, funny how the performance from the team after he went off turned into the worst of the season. Maybe Kenny's influence on the park is greater than a lot give him credit for.
We were awful against Ross County. These players last night didn't take any responsibility to control the ball; in what way would Miller have affected that?
-
Still can't believe how that goal of their's came about. I wonder if he thought their attacker was offside. Going to watch the match on RTV either tonight or tomorrow.
-
Wallace when he's back, Wilson till then.

Great interview. He is so right, we lacked so much purpose in our play tonight, and didn't express ourselves. A win's a win though, and hopefully we go on from that and do better.
-
Best shot stopper in the league. He was a bit better on the cross balls as well; he took one in the second half quite well. Great result tonight, and a lot of that was down to him.

So many of these just don't work!

You're at it!
For the last time, I said McInnes listened to what we had to say, felt something didn't sit right, and walked away.
At no time have I said or implied that Milne said something didn't sit right. Got it now?
You answered it eventually; cheers.

FFS!
Are you being deliberately obtuse?
The irony; it's a straight question. Is there anything in the Aberdeen chairman's statement that even hints at your assertion that '"something" didn't sit right'?
-

I never said that.
I said that McInnes walked away because he felt something didn't sit right. What part of that don't you understand?
So what in the Aberdeen chairman's statement even hints at that?

Just now, KingKennyMiller said:
I couldn't be any clearer.
Perhaps you can explain which part of it you're not quite grasping?
There is nothing to grasp. You said Rangers 'instigated this whole "afair"', that '"something" didn't sit right'. I asked you what in the Aberdeen chairman's statement even remotely hinted that something didn't sit right?

Just now, KingKennyMiller said:
Not one word of that indicates that something didn't sit right.

I said that something didn't sit right with McInnes - that's why he turned us down.
information would suggest he wasn't being allowed to bring in the players he felt were required in an effort to offer a credible challenge to celtic. Instead he was being told who we were signing in January by our DOF.
McInnes has more balls and more class than anyone on our board.
You are all over the place with this.

No contradiction.
He is quite rightly standing by his manager after our totally classless attempt at casting aspersions on his character.
Have Rangers done that? Anyway, that is another argument, you said that something didn't sit right, but you have no facts that lead you to that conclusion, neither have you any words from the Aberdeen chairman to lead you to it.

I see nothing wrong with what Milne had to say.
Our board on the other hand.......
There's a contradiction from you right there.

Absolutely.
We wanted their manager. They never offered any encouragement. McInnes listened to what we had to say and obviously something didn't sit right with him. He decided to stay with Aberdeen. Simples.
For me, the blame for this lies entirely with Dave King. He identified the man he wanted but failed to bring home the bacon. The fact that we never had a plan B tells you all you need to know.
In their arrogance the board never expected McInnes to turn the down the club he loves. We now find ourselves back to square one - still no manager - and a Chairman not fit for purpose.
Are you for real? We wanted their manager, but you're suggesting that 'obviously something didn't sit right'? I'll say it again, we only wanted their manager; like other clubs do at times like this. Let me ask you, what in the initial statement by the Aberdeen chairman suggested that 'something didn't sit right'?
-
RM at its best.

Just listened to this and wonder, is he growing into this role; might we be staring the obvious in the face given our circumstances? It's just speculation on my part, but Murty comes across rather well here.

McInnes wasn't shitting on our club at all.
We instigated this whole affair and that statement was an embarrassing, thinly veiled attack on the character of Derek McInnes. It was beyond cringeworthy.
As for all this " McInnes shat it" stuff .... I actually think anyone that truly believes that to be a bit simple.
Eh; what 'whole "affair"' is that? You mean we wanted him as manager?

We don't need a NOMAD or a listing on the LSE.
You're not going to get anymore institutional investment in Rangers.
Why? There simply is no money to be made in Scottish football. Unless joining the EPL or a European league of some sort was on the cards, the only people who will invest are those with an emotional connection.
If your some high flying fund manager you'll be looking at India or somewhere like that with potential high growth not Scottish football.
Naive possibility. I suggest you try and find an article in the Financial Times at the weekend, on what it described as 'the "Disneyfication" of Football'; it was mainly related to Man City, but it also put the possibility that football is going to change in how it is funded, with multiple clubs coming under an umbrella of one corporation and so on. You cannot predict what could happen to Rangers, especially with a "brand" that still spans globally, and a fan/customer base such as it has; many ingredients are there, and although we can't rule things in necessarily, we can't really rule them out either. No more institutional investment in Rangers?; the reason you state is that there is no money in Scottish football, but Rangers don't only compete in Scotland already as it stands, and maybe it won't need the club to play in the EPL, or the Premiership. Do you need funding on those scales anyway, and how many predicted Man City would be where it is now just under a decade ago? The potential for this club if it landed someone with a vision is not for you or I to negate just because we may lack the imagination that person would have. Weirder things have happened, and this club has taken ambitious routes before, and can do so again.

I like him. He's been involved with the 20's this season after being out on loan. Thought he looked a really neat and tidy player in the few games he got for the first-team
He seems to have developed as well. Is he not near the first team call Dude?

Ashley proposed mortgaging off Ibrox weeks before being forced out.
Yes I know that may have happened in the past under Murray but we were never going to default on any loans during that period had Ashley got his way Rangers would never have been able to pay back the £10m or so back.
You can slag this board off as much as you want but had they not showed up believe me things would be a thousand times worse than they are now.
Is the default position what previous boards have done; does that give this lot a free pass for incompetence? This manager situation is symptomatic of a great malaise at this club, and it needs sorted.

Believe me, I'm not sticking up for the board, and I'd love to see them replaced with a board we deserve, but some of the stuff stated on here as fact is just hyperbolic nonsense.
But we have gone seven weeks without a manager, and there is no sign of one coming in anytime soon. That, for me anyway, indicates a problem. I know we were rejected last week, but that would have been six weeks; where is the leadership at this club right now? I was also thinking of something else the other day, in this calendar year how many weeks during our competitive seasons, this one and last season, have we gone without a manager? This whole situation is all wrong, and it is not the way this club has ever operated before. This need this sorted, they need a proper executive running the day to day of the club better, and they need to show real ambition to be first by having a definite plan and sticking with it.

Think Pena and Kranjcar are similar in the fact that our game does not suit them.
I was concerned Kranjar might come on today when I saw him warming up. Barjonas coming on was for the best!

He was really good against St Johnstone a few months ago; that is the kind of player we need right now.
