The most exciting talent to come through the club since Lewis McLeod. He plays with head up and looks more and more confident the more he plays.

I think it all boils down to playing McCrorie as DM. Our midfield has actually performed with him in there.Hindsight is a great thing. Had we done that against Dundee and Accies I am sure we would have had another 6 points.
Especially where that second goal against Hamilton is concerned; a more naive goal I've yet to see us lose.

It's highly possible that we are going to be back here this time next year if we appoint him. Would he be in the reckoning if he hadn't played for us? I've seen very little in our games against them in the past two seasons to suggest he is that good a manager.

Good luck to him.
Hope some of the shenanigans he had to endure come to light in the future.
I have no hate for him.
You were the one who got me behind him; I should think not.

We'll see, that will hopefully all be the case but we've gotten too carried away before with players over the odd game, as it stands I'd still cut our losses if there's a chance for him to go elsewhere
Much as I agree Miller shouldn't be starting every week these days tomorrow's game is exactly the kind of one you still want him in for in my opinion
You make fair points, as always, and funnily enough it wouldn't surprise if Pena left as early as this window coming up. We agree to disagree about Miller, as always!

I was talking about over the course of a season, the situation with him has been bizarre
It hasn't though. A player that lost his way, not fit, and is getting fitter; by many accounts he has been working on his fitness, and there is a degree of evidence that this is paying off. I think, given time, he has the makings of being a very good player for us, and his goal scoring indicates that. He should be playing alongside Morelos tomorrow, with Miller dropped.

Pena has some talent about him which you would at the very least expect for the money we spent but can he really be trusted over the course of a season with fitness etc? Seems doubtful so far
He doesn't look fit to you? He looked okay to me the other night other than a player who hasn't played as often getting tired near the end.

All the best to him.

I'm going to take a guess and say I think it's AJ.

Has there ever been a player that you both cheer and write off as often within the space of a match? I don't know where I am with him. Pena is called an enigma, the real enigma is Windass.

Sounds like a new five year plan. Very concerning if that’s the case.
And that may well shed light on the real reason behind the sacking of the last couple of managers; you replace them like for like and go into yet another five year plan. I'm perhaps being rather cynical, but when I hear comments like Murty's then I'm not so sure.

Is this on later? Hopefully I can see it tonight.

David Edgar is authentic; in terms of podcasts etc something there isn't enough of that. He has an edge to him, and a genuine concern for the club. That is very welcome right now.

Is he a bigger factor than pretty much any other player though? Are there really any obvious alternatives to him?
He's a contributing factor. We had a move where he dropped to midfield, and then he played a ball forward; Morelos was on his own to receive the ball with no support and the ball went into a space where a Dundee player picked it up. I'll give you three guesses who should have been supporting Morelos to receive the through ball.

There can be no defence of any player last night bar McCrorie.
The fact that Miller, Holt, Wilson etc are still starting is down to succesive managers having no idea what they are doing.
These three players, meaning the players they are this season, wouldn't even be in the squads of previous years of this club in the big time. We will never get anywhere having players of such little quality in our team. If we got a decent manager, there would be sweeping changes to this squad almost immediately I'd expect.

I agree, watching it back there it looks as though Herrera gives Jack a shout, Jack ducks, Herrera makes a bollocks of it and it hits Wilson as he's tracking the movement of O'Hara. Should have anticipated it better but don't think he's that much to blame.
I'd blame them all then Dude, because goals like that, and the ones against Hamilton are summing us up of late. That second goal against Hamilton was ridiculous as well. I was a fan of Wilson at one time, but he's been involved in top flight football for a long time and really hasn't become a much better player from the one we saw years ago.

Wilson is at best a 4th choice CB IMO.
Which, considering the time he has been here is not really good enough.

He should, reasonably, be prepared for any eventualities but - in the wider scheme of things - others have a far larger portion of blame to take for that goal than DW. Would be interested to see it from the other angle to see how much (or little) Herrera's jump left him unsighted of the ball before it came through.
A free kick cross coming into the box is always going to be random, a better defender would anticipate a ball coming at him.

You expect him to be a miracle worker and sort his feet out in less than a second after Herrera missed it? You see the exact same incident occur regularly in football and far better defenders than Danny Wilson get caught out from it. Happens to strikers as well when defenders miss it, even from further distances away from the player missing the cross and they can't react in time. Herrara is solely to blame.
Yes, of course, I expect him to be a miracle worker. I don't normally listen to podcasts, but I'd agree with David Edgar the other night, Wilson has not really become a better defender over the years. I think we need someone a lot better in our whole defence, starting with our central defence.

I don't think he was expecting it to come to him before Herrera jumped out the way of it
My point is that he should be allowing for that. It's only my opinion.

Honestly have no idea how anyone can blame Wilson for that goal last night, mental.
It was okay for him to have no control whatsoever as the ball hits his feet?

Herrera gets more blame imo.
I do not disagree.
That may be the case, but a defender should be anticipating all eventualities when a ball comes in; it hitting off your feet and catching you by surprise is laughable.

Danny Wilson is also better than Cardoso, if you try and disagree then you're wrong.
Wilson isn't a good defender though, not for Rangers. That mistake last night was so basic, it was unreal to see a Rangers CD make such a basic error on a cross ball. I'd play a back three with him out the team; and yes, that would mean Cardoso replacing him.

Players need to make positive contribution, have an influence on play, not just fill jerseys.
As a Rangers no 9 this needs to be in the final third by way of assists, goals, build up linking etc. He fails miserably on all fronts time after time. As he did last night.
He hinders our play and slows down counter attacks. And last night on tv it twice showed him berating others. He tends to do this only with youths or foreigners.
He is literally worse than a man down.
I agree. When I said he was okay, it wasn't a ringing endorsement, I would have him moved on first chance we get, and he should have never been given that extension. In the second half he drifted back to his preferred midfield role and gave zilch for the rest of the game.
Please please please...

I'm not convinced by McInnes. I'll back him if he comes, but it's hard to gauge how he will do, and in a sense does he have anything about him that we see to indicate he could do a job here. He doesn't look to have handled the past few weeks well, in terms of being linked with speculation, but that is nothing to the type of pressure he would have when he gets in the door. You're right, but I would feel a lot more comfortable if we had someone who either won things or managed at a higher level.
