  1. I stand corrected mate. I have just spoken with a source who has confirmed that it was as you say J. Brown and not Novo and Durrant. How that f***ing blitzer who text me got Novo and Durrant is beyond me. Apologies lads but as stated I was just passing on what I got on text. I actually heard wrong again earlier today when another guy told me it was Brown and Durrant but it seems this was inaccurate also. Anyway apparently John Brown was there ? Who knows.... John Brown was there mate and so was I, he was with the legend that is Bill McMurdo and Bomber delivered a fine speech and helped with the auction to raise funds for the Help for Heroes charity Welcome to the site mate If you have any pictures of the night feel free to post them up, if you are not sure how to post them let me know. Cheers for that, being a bit of an 'old codger' I wouldn't know how to do that, my mate took some photo's on his digital camera so I'll ask him if he can help out, it was a great night organised by the County Down clubs which will hopefully result in an annual event.

  3. No LOL has anyone else noticed they areplaying the audio of some Serie A match in the backround to make it sound more exciting!
  4. if Jim Forrest scored then it couln't have been 1971, don't think he played for the Gers after the 1967 cup defeat by Berwick Rangers which was a shocking decision
  5. bout time the big man hit them instead of some of the negative stuff he's written about us in the past
  6. i am up from 5, leave the house about 5.45 and dont get home untill 10.30 when i am getting the bus. stena dont run the hss in the mornings anymore either so its 3 hours on the slow boat over to glasgow and 2 hours back on the hss if it runs. Its about a 10hour round trip for me. I hate the travelling but i love getting to ibrox so i put up with it. Just frustrating with midweek games as i rarely get to go. People who live in or near glasgow dont realise how lucky they are. I would go to every single game if i lived closer, even the cup replays. Unfortunatly i dont get enough holidays to be able to take days off to go to all the midweek games. Now that is dedication
  7. cheers mate, tell it like it is!!! thanks for the laugh
  8. Think I have agree with your cynicism Emerson. I would love to believe the big man but I don't know how well connected he is with real inside info?
  9. Good evening fellow Bears, have just registered on the site and am a first-time poster (on any forum) Apologies if this item has already been covered but I have just read an article on the Evening Times website where big Derek claims "Walter Smith was right to again point out the financial difficulties at Ibrox. Even if Rangers win the league title and gain entry to the Champions League next season, it doesn’t mean everything is going to be much better in the summer. As manager, he has to let the supporters know what the state of play is. And, if things remain unchanged come the summer, it won’t be good for Rangers and further cuts will be required. However, I am still confident the club will be under the control of new ownership by the end of the season. There are things happening behind the scenes, I’m hearing bits and pieces here and there without knowing anything concrete. I think something will happen on that front in the next month or two. And what a massive lift that would give the Rangers supporters, management and players if it were to happen as they are still pushing for the championship and other trophies." Now I have seen some criticism from Bears directed at DJ in the past, but I was wondering if the big man does indeed know anything about this, or is this just pure speculation to add some spice to his column? Anyone know what the crack is???
