  1. What a load of bollocks, full of contradictions.

It starts with 'Rangers biggest shareholder investigated for criminal tax evasion'.

Then states 'Rangers biggest share holder is Zeus Capital'

And then states 'Zeus Partners are under investigation and not Zeus Capital' making the clear distinction halfway down the article

A lot of crap, by a crap journalist for a crap paper!

  2. it baffles me that we accepted 3 mill a year from jjb yet sports direct can get us between 5-10 mill ....

Did we not get 18million up front so deal worked out equivalent of 4.8 each season. And considering we're not now going to honour last 4 yrs, worked out 36 million for 6 yr deal (6 mill a season)

  3. I suppose I can agree to some of what hes saying, that we could save money and still reach the SPL. Mccoist has already stated though that these calibre of players are being signed so that we can hold our own in cup games. I think its also to do with the league being revamped next season to bump us up, and with the embargo still there, we would be stuck with lesser players for half a season.

This. Not even taking the inevitable league reconstruction into account, does the following not apply?

Do the cup winners not get somewhere in the region of 1 million in prize money, along with gate receipts along the way. So 3 (challenge as well) good cup runs and we've made the money Leckie claims we could've saved in 1 season. Green has taken a calculated risk also, better calibre players and good performance attracts fans (not that we need any encouragement) therefore more money made in home gates.

What's the famous saying, speculate to accumulate!

  4. Part of me hopes it's not a serious injury, but I'll explain why.

I'd rather that he can get ripped a new one every week in the premiership until he gets released into football obscurity and will forever more look back on his time at Ibrox and feel the pain and regret of walking out on us over and over again!!!

  5. The way I read it is broadcasters want the rights to our games as part of the SPL TV deal as we've said all along without us their deal is worthless.

I also believe that there is more interest in us than the SPL so how embarrassing would it be if an SFL TV deal was struck worth more than the SPL deal. Doncaster can't afford for that to happen so is blackmailing us to get the rights in exchange for our membership.

  6. Whilst I can see the OP's theory, could u imagine the backlash should it ever come out in the press or subsequent MP's public enquiry (hopefully) the fact that it was alleged that we had bought the titles with cash that we didn't have and then bought the right to keep them!!!

And please don't take what I have written as me saying the cash wasn't ours as it fucking was and the tax tribunal has proven it with their silence!!!!

  7. The result of the first vote to accept us into the SFL was 29 out of 30.

Do we know who voted not to accept us?

Now there may be a perfectly good reason for this, ie someone never turned up. But by my reckoning there is someone so filled with hatred towards us that they were prepared to not accept us altogether.

My thought on the matter is simple then. If they don't want us, they don't get us and we boycott them altogether

  8. If what we are to believe is true it is corruption of the highest degree.

Firstly, they are suggesting that sanctions are imposed as we could now be starting in SFL1 and have therefore 'skipped' 2 divisions.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, Reagan has stated Rangers must play in SFL1 or we'll need to start a new SPL2 to ensure Rangers are in the top two tiers! In other words we will not be allowed to go to SFL3 where there would be no sanctions as we've not 'skipped'.

We have no choice. We will be playing in the 1st Div(either SPL or SFL) and then can be punished for being given the privilege of getting to be there!

As I said CORRUPTION with the only agenda of giving the SPL their money and still being able to impose made up sanctions on us. Disgusting.

  10. Slightly unfair comments lads, more than a few games we snatched 1-0 down to a lafferty goal, goals on title days too.

Only thing I didn't like bout the lad was his tendency to ham up injuries and fall over easily to get players booked.

To be fair his goals did get us the points, but to be fairer still he probably should have had a hattrick in each of those 1-0 games!!!!

  11. The news I heard was that it was announced on Sky news today that he was transferring over, but with the intention to leave.

Could be that his legal advice is stating that Green is correct and he has left it too late. Might not want a bill landing on him a few months down the line.

Stv have reported he is leaving, but who knows, my heads buzzing with everything that is going on these last few days.

  12. Argh!

Might have messed up here! Last I heard he said he was going to transfer over then leave, getting us a fee.

Just didnt make sense why the guy would be so loyal!

I might have been given bad advice on this one though!

    Can anyone clear up?

I think you may be right in your belief that he was possibly only coming back for the money when he announced last week (I think) he was reporting for training, however his agent has obviously been working overtime finding him a new club and it would appear that he has now backtracked and stated his intentions to leave.

  13. Well, it's no too difficult tae think whit our new name would be..................

.................BURY RANGERS. Every other cunts tried it!

The Bury idea to me is one of two things, an operation tango or a Green bluffing the SPL tactic. I'm not at all convinced there's any truth in it.

  14. of all the statements i've read in this sorry saga, this is one of the best & honest statements i've read.

some of the suggestions from SPL fans in plugging the funding gap is hilarious "without TV broadcasts more fans will show up!"

Motherwell hit the nail on the head when they spoke about how it would be impossible to plug the funding gap overnight as they have financial outgoings, contracts and obligitations based upon projected income. Cutting your cloth accordingly is indeed smoething thats only achievable in the long term.

Rangers not geting in the SPL is likely to be casatrophic for most of these teams. Motherwell have more or less admitted that. They will struggle to cope with the immediate shortfall and if Motherwell were in a position where they had to call in the administrators, thanks to the new rules, they will recieve a 22 point deduction :)

    enjoy.

I think it would be more than the 22 point penalty as the precedent has been set when Dundee entered admin for the second time, therefore Motherwell would have to suffer harsher penalties too.

We've said it many times before but they really did vote for Xmas!!!!!

  15. That article is a load of guff!

To save anyone else reading it, I'll sum up

This guy says he's got access to someone else's money but he could be talking crap as they can't prove anything. He didn't submit an offer to D&P and D&P accepted Greens offer rather than waiting a few more weeks to see if this guy was real or going to bid. So clearly D&P are corrupt!

Why did C4 even bother printing it, it's full of ifs buts and maybes. That prat Thomson repeatedly states throughout that they can't prove anything and this guy could be a hoaxer!

  16. It is a bit co-incidental that Kennedy was in talks with Whyte about shares and now an agreement is close with a UK consortium buying them. The guy on BBC was indicating that the consortium buying the shares might be the UK-based interested party but couldn't confirm it. I suspect it is the Kennedy / Souness (English-based) consortium and they are the ones aiming for a straight CVA.

I must admit, ive felt for some time now that souness was/is going to be involved.

Given recent stories and events and media spins all I want now is someone figure heading a bid that we can trust
