  1. I have been told that we have used Ibrox as securtiy in the past.

security isnt even the issue ( although most are making it so) it's the ability to pay it back and the timeframe allowed that will make this a good or bad deal.

the way people are talking, we are selling the bloody stadium

May have been used as security in the past...

..but not with people like mike ashley who is ONLY interested in money (or ruining our club) you decide which.

  2. Not suprised to see posters split over this.

Lets take Goodwillie first, at 22 he is already a proven goalscorer in the SPL, but strikers tend to peak early. I am sure we can improve him but I am not 100% sure he would be suited to living/playing in Glasgow. Having said that I think its a chance worth taking, looking down the line if we can get him to sign a five year deal, we will easily be able to get our money back somewhere down the line if not more. Dont think his wages would be too high and the fact that we could actually make money by signing would mean a YES for me.

Cueller, mmm, toughie, first impressions, NO. Going on 30, injuries and not many games for Villa in his correct position. Lets look 2 years down the line, he'll be almost 32, another couple of injuries may have shortened his carrer and we would be looking for a new centre half, we will have paid 3 million plus high wages (over 5 million in total) and there may not be much left. On the other hand he could get a new lease of life and play every game for the next two seasons and we could maybe sell him on. However as much as I like him and reckon he would slot in like he was never away, I would rather we bought a decent centre half around the age of 24 and get him on a 5 yr deal (with the probability of selling him on and at least getting our money back). Cueller is dead money as much as I like him we need to be smart in the transfer market.

    So Goodwiilie - YES

Cueller - NO (however I would take Cueller for 1.75 million or so)

  3. Cheers for that mate. Definitely will look into it. Are you a subscriber? What's your feedback? And... is it legit?

Hi mate, I have been a member for 9 months, its changed my life as I now live in Denmark.

They are showing every champs lge game tonight, as well as Sentanta Australia, Sentanta Canada, Attheraces and the Cricket!

Best 5 pound you will ever spend!

  4. Cant beat it

    ???????

    5 dollars for one match?

    What about the fabulous www.streampro.tv

Amazing quality (many games in HD), live games galore (including every Rangers and celtc game), others sports, horse racing, sky sports news etc etc etc etc.

5 pounds a month THAT cannot be beaten.

  5. I'll wait and see what the poster Mark.'s take on it is.

He always has a well balanced opinion on Kenny Miller.

Scored a hatrick yesterday despite one of his poorest performances.

Hope he stays cause I hate losing players for nothing.

I won't lose any sleep if he leaves

  6. Yeah fair enough, although sometimes it looked like he was babysitting Broaders.

I thought he actually looked a bit more active than normal and made some timely interventions but thats just me.

Fact is its simply not good enough and something has to be done in January or we will blow this lge and be out of Europe.

  7. Very worried about our defence right now.

Whittaker is playing like an empty jersey, Weir looks finished, Broadfoot looks lost and Foster looks out of his depth.

And to add to this our midfield cannot seem to protect the defence.

Seriously Kilmarnock could have humped us today if it was not for the errors, and deserved it just like Hibs.

Man Utd will rip us apart on this form.

It simply is not good enough and I am worried, big time.

  8. You just have to look at the first team

    Miller

    Papac

    Weir

All out of contract and first picks in the starting XI, could they be replaced with 5 million?

A centre half, a striker and a left back.

The season after Bougherra, Naismith, Davis etc

We need to tie everyone down asap and use any funds to buy younger players of real quality that can push for a first team place.

  9. If spent wisely, then 5 million is enough.

We would have to push the boat out above that now and again for a Jelavic, Davis, Bougherra, Miller type player if they became available to maintain a spine but generally, 5 million is enough imo.

We would need around 7 million a year to keep the same quality as we have now. Less if we can keep current players with renewing their contracts.

We have a squad worth around 28 million, a squad which is out of contract or too old every 4 years, 7 million a year to replace.

Without the CL we simply do not have this money, more like 700k.

    We need things to change.

  10. Do you think at the end of this season,

the bears should rename the broomloan the Walter Smith Stand,

    in honour of the godfather.

    In Walter We Trust

Not a chance in hell this will happen, The Broomloan Stand will always be know as this, its tradition.

Another way will be found to honour him I am sure, hope it not OTT.
