Anyone want to have a go? Their value if some team was to come in and want to buy.
Rangers
McGregor 6m
Whittaker 2m
Weir 0.5m
Bougherra 5m
Papac 1m
Naismith 2.5m
Edu 3m
Davis 3.5m
Weiss 4m
Miller 2m
Jelavic 4m
Total 33.5m
I know Weiss is not our player but thats not the point in this post.

?? Anyone want to have a go?

Yup. Same with Gascoigne.
Problem with the team from 10/15/20 years ago is we have some great players but also some poor ones, thats why we had so many dissapiontments on the big stage.
Todays team however is much more of a unit. We have quality in every area of the pitch.
McGregor, Whittaker, Weir, Boogie, Papac, Naismith, Edu, Davis, Weiss, Miller, Jelavic (when fit)
Not an obvious weakness anywhere! Thats not something you could have said in the past.
We've got the best team in the land and that why we're Champions

He will not be staying at Rangers past this season - the words of Roberto Mancini. He knows a top-class player when he sees one, and will not let this guy go. His close control last night was sublime, and I hate to say it, but he is too good for the SPL. It's good to have him for this season though.
Doubt very much Mancini will be the manager next season.

Celtic 13/8
Am I missing something?
9/4 is a great price.

I personally do not think he is good enough for Man City if they want to become the best team in England and possibly in Europe.
He is cracking player and I feel he will be surplus to requirements at City.
The question is what is his current value if he was to come up for sale?
I have heard there will be money to spend next Summer and he would be a great signing.
He would also be a player with a possible large sell on value and this is the type of players we need to be looking at.
Of course a lot would depend on the player himself but I think he could fall in love with The Rangers.
I say, he could maybe be bought for 3/4 million, what say ye?

i think if its not tied up in the next week i think he will be away at the end of the season.
He is doing great in the SPL but last night proved we need a better class of player if we are to compete and beat the big boys.
If he leaves at the end of the season I wont lose any sleep, I'm sure money will be made available for a replacement.
I'm sure when Jelavic settles in we will have a top class striker on our hands.

to whoever knows the official lineup, can you please post it.
dont think foster should start, but good luck to him. WATP

Whittaker

Bougherra
Papac

5-4-1

What are we worrying about?
Its a stronger team than they played against us.
With the likes of Nani that team should easily be good enough.
-
Just said on RR that foster isn't playing!
Just heard on real radio, the official team.
He IS playing
-
It would make more sense. Is Webster fit?
Yes he is fit.
-
is that official? never knew the team was out yet
The "official" team is not out yet but Foster starts and will play left back in a back 5
Whittaker, Bougherra, Weir, Papac, Foster

Not comfortable with that.

Over the moon with this. Well done Kylie
Well done the Ulster gazelle.

I dont think the structure around the screens allows for seats.
-
Good analysis. I'd go with that line up as well and also give James B. some time as well.
3-0. Naismith, Miller, Weiss.
This is definately a banana skin, despite all our victories, some performances have been below par.
If we throw in below par performance on Saturday we will drop points and possibly be beaten.
Hopefully we come flying out the blocks but I have a bad feeling about this game with Valencia coming up midweek.

If I'm correct, he's scored 4 in the last 5? An excellent record for a wide midfielder.
Some people find it difficult to understand, thats it is hard for a player to move to a new club.
Especially when that club is as big as The Rangers!
Especially when the player is young.
And especially when the player has had many injuries since the move.
IF he can stay injury free, Steven is a 4/5 million player, easy.
He is a fantastic player who is getting games, is fit and is very confident.
Confidence is not something that you just pull out when you want or when its needed.
IMO I would wait until the New Year and if he is still in the same form I would tell him he should be rewarded with a new 4 year contract.
-
Miller has trouble holding the ball up as well. Although his movement is far superior to Lafferty's.
Its got to be Miller for 70 mins and then Lafferty taking over.
This game WILL be a draw.
-
Exactly - The most important player in the team is the goalkeeper
They can take a hike and that joke newspaper .
Rangers should come out and say
Not For Sale
McGregor has been offered a new contract and in my opinion he will sign it. He is worth his weight in gold.
5/10/15 million, thats pennies compared to what he can help earn us over a 5 year period.
-
Great player in his day and the 3-2 scottish cup final goal at the post was a classic moment .
Great player!

If any clubs were willing to pay over 4 million for Davis, we would have seen bids in the Summer.
No bids = No interest.
10 million, you are having a laugh. Has looked good in the last two games (mediocre in the previous games) but a 10 million player? I think not.
Value of our best XI v theirs

No one had the balls to have a crack? Just criticise, ha ha thats easy! Cowards
Are we saying that if a team came in in January and said they wanted Davie Weir, maybe a small club wanted him as a player manager then we would say - you can have him for free. Or we would say 500k?
