  1. I'll say, I got out for the older age group Sunday. Kids were eating it up having the coaches there, really enjoying the drills. Helped that the Raptors top coach is Scottish so they could largely understand what was being shouted at them! Plus they all walk away with some Rangers garb to wear to school. It's a win-win for everybody and with the talk of expanding the number of camps even more next year could really be a benefit long term.

  2. Great read!

Things like this and increasing merchandise availability are essential in building the brand over here. Considering the number of US players Rangers have had its disappointing the club isn't more visible when tons of people I know are effing Fulham fans for the same reason!

    Brian McBride's lasting legacy.

  3. We actually just had them up my way for a camp this past weekend: http://rockrivertimes.com/2015/05/21/raptors-rangers-fc-announce-june-camp/

Got out and spent some time talking to the coaches and whatnot but haven't had time to put another story together just yet. They said it's been going really well at all the camps this summer, though. Been going to some top facilities, too. National camp is coming up down in Atlanta later this summer.

  4. Since Charles Green was not in the room last night it would have been quite easy to whip up an anti-Charles Green sentiment from the floor (or the top table) whether it was deserved or not. I'm sure many of those in attendance were of the opinion that McCoist's time is up, yet I see no sign of him being under such scrutiny from this report. Could that be due to the fact that he WAS there and able to defend himself, were it necessary?

One last thing. On STV's six-o'clock news last night before this meeting the outside broadcast report had the STV guy waving a stack of papers claiming it was "50 questions the meeting will be answering" (he was flanked by the Blogger who claims he won't be back on RM). I'm hearing that this was not the case at all and that the Q & A was of the "open to the floor" variety??

If so, the guy from STV was either lying, or that this pre-ordained list of 50 questions was dumped at the last minute??

Does anyone know which is the case? :pipe:

My understanding (from people in room): Individuals had one question to ask with limited chances for followups. Believe the stack he was waving was the list of potential questions the RST had gathered on their site from fans yesterday. There were no "Q's for Q&A" cards passed about.

  5. I tend to find when a wide variety of bears are using the same generic terms to describe an issue, it's not because of some grand collusion or conspiracy but because that's what opinion actually is.

Toxic is perhaps too strong a word for anyone associated with Rangers (outwith Craig Whyte or SDM) but from reading various posts across the community today, I do think Charles Green's time at Rangers has come and gone.

    CONSPIRACY klaxon.

If only people could use "agenda' properly first I might buy it, considering I'm part of all of them now.

  6. So again the "toxic" word is used to describe the atmosphere especially in relation to Green, was this really the case? Or was it the case some fans were a bit vocal?

My point is that there was guys in the room who have failed us miserably yet come away practically unscathed.

Chris Graham also used the word toxic within minutes of the meeting finsihing, anyone would think some people had a wee chat to agree on this...

Really? Andy showed up on two hours notice from me, took all the notes so he could pass them along, drove back to Falkirk, and stayed up til 1 am to write this. Think he had a lot of time to pow wow with all the other people there, do ye? Guess you were outside with your camera to catch snaps of them passing the hat around then...

  7. I wonder why you thought that the majority on RM would be interested in the e-mail trail which I started to read but stopped near the beginning. It's your business not RM's really. I did also state regarding blogs that "each to their own". I don't normally access blogs, only occasionally where referred to on RM. More often than not, I wish I hadn't bothered.

That implies the majority on RM want to read any thread. Guy and his group want to unite the fans and own Rangers. This is what their version of unity looks like.

  8. @JCD: I think something people always forget is that web-based consumption of such outlets is entirely voluntary. I don't pretend like my opinion means more than supporter X, Y or Z; the problem for some people is that I did the work to create a platform that me and all the lads get to say their piece from, just like RM or FF or VB or any of the other sites. If you don't like it, don't take it in. Easy does.

  9. Can somebody tell me who the TRS/CRO are, what they do, and why everybody's arguing? I'm the type of fan who takes no notice of factions and divides but this sounds more hateful than usual.

Or can this be summed up by "It's the RSTs fault" like most fan divides and arguments.

We say stuff, people don't always agree with it. Some of them make up extreme bullshit lies to validate their opinions. The cycles goes on.

  10. Got as far as the first paragraph and stopped reading. All of you involved in shit stirring and backstabbing other Bears make me absolutely feckin sick. Your stupid little power struggles and desire to be accepted within the corridors of Ibrox are utterly bizarre.

The same clueless wankers and fans spokespeople are involved at every turn. Why don't you all piss off and give 99% of Bears peace from your clique's and power struggles.

It's the same dozen people all the time, and surprisingly this man's name links back to plenty of them.
