  1. Just read the CRO post on the website. Will donate when I'm home, don't have my card with me.

Any idea/update if the Club have been contacted about arranging a friendly or if there's anything in the works?

We're reaching out through any legitimate channel we can on that. Hopefully if we get a good response over the weekend we can show the club we'd support a friendly come Monday morning.

  2. Hope it helps, just donated a fiver, good luck

    All helps, mate. Cheers.

Some responses from the TCFC message board:

"Speechless once again!! Football fans are bl**dy nice people really"

    "You guys are immense."

    "Im a Rangers fan now."

    "Incredible. Speechless. Humbled."

  3. Way too many clubs in this position, and horrible in a country with a £3b top-flight TV deal. Most of these clubs could be saved by a single weeks pay packet for an average EPL first team player.

On our end, we're taking just £5 or £10 donations and have raised over $300US just this morning the last I checked on my mobile. Fantastic support from the Rangers family.

  4. Right then, been around talking about this before but now it's put up or shut up time. We've got an info page up at the CRO and have reached out to (we think) all the major SG's and fans' groups about our effort to help save Truro City FC. If you're in a fans' group that wants to get involved and I haven't gotten hold of you just hit us up via the site or on twitter.

We're still waiting on the final write-up/appeal from the TCFC supporters' group, but we've got a donation button on the CRO #SaveTruroCity info page already where you can chip in if you want: http://www.thecoplandroad.org/p/bears-help-savetrurocity.html

The TCFC fans are looking to secure a 50k bond measure to save their club. That's less than a pound for every seat in Ibrox. We can make a difference and help a set of supporters standing on the brink because of the actions of one shit owner, something we know full well about. 7325.gif

  5. Why is advancement to the LC semi being granted by so many? We pissed away two cups last year and got done by QotS at Ibrox. The Ally that existed in cups under Walter is not the Ally we have now.

Bill's got his opinion; I think it's valid and well crafted. I'm sure it was hard for him to write.

I think the staff behind McCoist should be torn up and reconstructed, and now. We've got two weeks. I don't need to provide a list of names; that's for the club to do. But it's clear to me that this staff was comfortable working in the environment fostered by Walter, and that is not what Ally needs. He's a different man and different manager.

  6. Seriously though, every time this cunt copies and pastes Bill's or someone elses work he is depriving the author of hits on their own website, I presume he is either Bill McMurdo or has written/spoken permission from bill to post his stuff on other websites?

If you want to highlight someones piece then make a topic with a title nice blog by blah blah blah and provide a link to the site so that the original author benefits from their own hard work.

If you are indeed Bill or have said permission then I apologise.

forlanssister does a very good job of this on GersNet.

And Bill's back again today with a message for his old friend.

    Time to Step Down, Super

by Bill McMurdo | CRO Contributor

I didn’t expect to be writing this piece but, after careful consideration, I see no other option.

I have known Ally McCoist for over twenty five years.

For a while, many moons ago, I operated as his agent – mostly doing commercial stuff and personal appearance work.No agent was ever going to get a big payday moving Super Ally from Ibrox in a big money move. For all the occasional speculation, Ally’s heart prevented him moving to another club while at the peak of his powers.

My old man also worked with Ally over the years and first introduced him to Question Of Sport. To be honest, I always thought Coisty made a bit of a prat of himself on that show, especially after watching the special out-take show a few years back.

And that is about as critical of the man as I am prepared to get, other than what I have been saying in my blogs concerning Rangers’ awful recent record under Coisty’s management.

The simple reality is that Ally McCoist is not the manager he – and legions of Rangers fans – wanted to be.

For the rest you'll have to hop over to the site. biggrin.gif

  7. I agree 100% - which is why Number One Fanzine stands fully behind this call for an SPL boycott.

I was asked if I would back it - the answer was easy - indeed I stated in the first issue of the zine this season that I would NOT enter another SPL ground again citing "why would I want to give money to someone who tried to kill my club?"

It's a no-brainer and one which I hope the club supports all the way.

Obviously I've got to send my Andys to these meetings since I'm in the States. Personally, it's less about finances and more about a FUCK YOU YOU SLIMY FUCKING CUNTS than anything. In any case, The Copland Road Organization was happy to back it, although some people seem to think we're now a SG and trying to shape club policy. I've no idea where these ideas come from.

Now where the fuck's my tea!? charles.png

  8. CBC News has learned details of how a European crime syndicate bribed Canadian soccer players to fix a semi-professional game between Trois-Rivières and Toronto teams as part of an international match-fixing scheme to make money from online bets.

In an exclusive story led by CBC's senior investigative reporter Diana Swain that airs tonight on The National, CBC News reveals evidence of the match-fixed Canadian Soccer League game that surfaced in hundreds of hours of police wiretaps obtained by CBC News from a German court case on one of the largest sports-fixing scandals to hit Europe.

At least one game in the CSL, a semi-pro league operating in Ontario and Quebec as a feeder system for Canadian major league clubs, was compromised by match fixing, according to the German wiretap transcripts.

Wiretaps show the crime syndicate targeted a Sept. 12, 2009, game in Trois-Rivières between its home team, Attak, and the Toronto Croatia.

Court documents show that €15,000 ($18,000 Cdn) in bribes were paid to several players on the Toronto Croatia team...
