Just watched the press conference and I was impressed with how he came across.
He seems a likable guy and that he will be a good character and role model for some of the younger boys. If MW selects him then it's because he has been doing the business in training and he'll be there on merit so hopefully everyone gives him the same backing they'd give any Ranger when he pulls on that blue shirt.

Why just Kilmarnock?
A lot of teams that voted us out are now no longer in the top flight and we have teams such as Dundee, Hamilton, Ross County, Partick Thistle who never got a vote.
Do people think the top flight just remained the same 11 teams for 4 years?

Right Back is the main priority imo.
Big fan of Tav going forward, he's got more than enough talent to play RW, no idea who told him he should be a Right Back.
Lost count of the goals Tav has cost us at RB. Was partly to blame for the first and solely to blame for the 2nd in the cup final.
I don't think we can win the league with Tav costing us goals at RB, it's an important position to shore up that Right Side. Really hope we bring in a solid RB but happy to have Tav sit in front of him at RM/RW.
Yep. You know more than the gaffer.

Never heard of him but I trust the gaffer....

Wont be going to any away venues except Rugby park
Also given the events on Saturday I wont be giving any away fans a warm welcome when they visit Ibrox (coz it seems that type of behaviour is fine and doesnt get punished by the authorities!)
Why just rugby park?
You do know there is a number of teams in the top flight right now who didn't get a vote as to whether we retained our SPL status?

Jesus, I forgot we have to play in that mess now.
Hopefully we treat the group stage as a chance to play some of our youngsters before making a decision whether to loan them out or keep them in the squad this season.

We will be at home first game of the season as we are the SPFL Championship champions. The game will probably be played on the Friday or Sunday though as the tims will be at home too and most likely get the Saturday slot.
Does anyone know if the fixtures for the league cup group stage get announced the same day?

Shiels and Bell next surely?
Bell still has a year to go on his contract and he'll probably be on a fair wage, might be hard to get rid of him. Hopefully truth in the rumours a few teams are looking at him.

Think Windass is our new 30 goals a season striker? Whoever it is they need to be able to play across the front 3 - so ideally would expect someone quick, unless MW is ofcourse happy with Miller, Waghorn, Mckay and MoH with Windass joining that fray.
Windass will play in the midfield 3. In the matchday programme from the final game of the season there is an interview with him and he says he has a task on his hand getting into one of the advanced midfield roles as Holt and Halliday played exceptional against celtic in the cup.

I notice it says he does coaching at the fee paying George Watson's College.
I am sure an institution such as themselves would review his position with them if a few bears get in touch with them showing him up to be the thug he is.
-
Hopefully we get a 'glamour' friendly at Ibrox. Would love to see us play someone like Liverpool or Arsenal.
-
I reckon he will be at Dunfermline next season, probably a good move for him as well.
-
We're never going to change our formation under MW.
We play 4-3-3 all the way down to our under 12's or whatever it is now, one bad result is not going to undo a years worth or work.
-
We need to sign another striker in my opinion, maybe even two.
The best thing for Hardie would be a season long loan deal at Falkirk, help them win the league next season and keep the hibs down

Looks like the hibs end it is. Any other bears doing the same?
Fuck that!
I am pretty sure you have to be on their database to buy direct from them anyway.

Don't think money will come into it. He'll leave when two things happen: the right club comes in for him (not the club offering the biggest wages or biggest war-chest) and more importantly, when he feels he's finished the job here. Only he knows how the second part is defined, but I reckon back to back league titles and a euro final/trophy a few years down the line isn't totally unrealistic.

Sounds more like Irish terrorism than the way we've seen Islamic terrorism play out before.

Two points;
1) Am I right in saying there is 1 person mumbling a 'fuck the pope and the *falls to silence as no one else joins in to that bit*'?
2) Is that Scott Arfield across from Joey and to the right saying 'No yit, no yit' in guidance as to how to sing the song properly like it had made an impact on him somewhere i.e. during his time in Scotland............OR am I wrong and way off base here? I'd appreciate anyone confirming or correcting my noticings.
Scott Arfield is a big Tim from Livingston.
