Definitely.
One of the reasons I am not too fussed if Hearts and Aberdeen progress in this competition is the fact an improved coefficient means we could start our season later and have more a chance of entering the group stage of competitions.

If they progress they will play that Maltese side that took West Ham to penalties last year.
Should they lose then we can slag off Hearts and if they win at least Scotland's coefficient improves slightly for us going back into Europe next season as I think we'll have been out of Europe for 5 seasons and so the coefficient we as a club receive is the same as Scotland's average. This season it is only 3.000!
I think each win gets you a point, a draw gets you half a point and you also get bonus points for qualifying for group stages, last 16 etc of the Champions League and Europa League.
Aberdeen who play tomorrow will likely be through to the second round too and they have a favorable draw in that round too. Hibs will get pumped off Brondby in round two though

The one I am most looking forward to watching this season though is Niko. If he can play at half the level he managed when he was at Spurs then he'll walk the league up here.

Nobody can really be surprised our first home game of the season where we unfurl the SPFL championship flag is chosen for TV...
I'm just glad it stayed the Saturday and wasn't moved to the Friday night or Sunday lunchtime.
